Schlunder Amaretto Liqueur Pound Cake Imported from Germany In Gift Box

Good taste and good rum flavor. Great with coffee. Package arrived in good condition and cake is sealed in box. The first time I bought just one .... this time I bought three. So just to be thorough you can possibly buy pound cake and put rum on it yourself. I bought three this time to just be sure going the pound cake and adding rum myself route I might want to do. It's good cake definitely and great rum flavor if anyone prefers to buy it.

I don't trust myself to bake anymore, and I depend heavily on food delivery. And once in a while, I really crave a piece of cake. This cake is moist and very fresh, and it's just big enough to offer three or four generous servings. It keeps well in the fridge. Great with ice cream! I trust the seller enough that I would not hesitate to send it as a gift.

I previously purchased the Amaretto flavor in this brand of cakes and it was great, so I decided to try the orange. It tastes decent, but not extra special for the price. It has orange peel pieces in it that I usually don't mind in a cake, but the ones in mine were a little too big to be enjoyable. I would not buy it again. Like some others have said, Amazon sends this soft cake in a manilla colored soft envelope that doesn't protect it at all. The box that the cake is in from the company that makes them is thin and not sufficient for shipping in a soft envelope. I did not reduce the stars for Amazon's unprotected shipping choice, but if you are needing something sent as a gift, you might want to make a different choice as the recipient is likely to receive a damaged product.

I’ve had this cake every year since I was 15 and I’m 35 now. Since living in the Pacific Northwest and having found this cake easily in the southeastern states of the US. So I had order this cake and let me just say, it is still the best cake on the market! If I could I’d eat a slice for the next 365 but honestly that would kill my mood for it haha!It’s moist, flavorful, and just remind me of home.

This is cake is so good I had to hide it to keep from eating the whole thing in one sitting. I ended up ordering more to give as gifts. Not heavy like a pound cake. The amaretto flavor is just fantastic. Hopefully the gifts actually make it out of the house! Dangerously good.

Product was packaged poorly, we had to throw 1/2 the cake away for it was squashed badly. Could not use to put out for dinner. The reaming cake was very good tasting.
