Like most Indian drinks and desserts, it is sweet, but also tasty. Cardamom, saffron, and almonds are the dominant flavors, not sugar. You can thin it out with more milk if you find it too sweet for you. This is the best brand I have tried (some other brands are flat & floury tasting). When I travel to India, this is in my luggage upon return. In the US, easier to buy via Amazon than travel to India! Enjoy!
