BDEALS Collin Speculum Large Stainless Steel

I had read some other reviews about this thing, boy does it work fantastic! Lube it up and stick it in and then start cranking the screw until you have to say Uncle!!! CAUTION!!! Do not close it all the way before pulling it back out or you might pinch yourself, just close it far enough to where you can pull it out.Easy cleanup due to the design that lets you take the two halves apart.

I was excited to buy this since it's a sideways speculum, but I suppose I underestimated the size. This thing is so large that it seems abnormal. I didn't even attempt to return, considering what this is used for.

Sides are to sharp.

The good:-The two halves of this thing are sturdy, and made of really nice stainless - shiny and durable. It's generally attractive, as far as metal mechanisms go. After washing it with some dish soap, I felt perfectly at ease with the idea of putting this thing inside my body.-Some reviewers mention sharp edges, but... they're rounded? They ARE edges, but I wouldn't call them sharp by any means.-Once it's in and open it STAYS in and open. Stretched me to my limits and didn't budge a bit until I had it half-way closed. Felt AMAZING.The bad:-My main issue with this product was that it only worked for 4 separate uses. On the 5th try... the threads stripped. (Interior threads, meaning the ones inside the hole that the screw fits into.) My speculum is trash, now, since I have no means of re-threading stainless steal without compromising the integrity of the metal. If it were the threads on the screw it would be no big deal - just get a new screw. But re-threading the hole? Nope, can't fix it. Trash. If the product had longevity, I'd have given it 4 stars.-When it DID work, it was a bit difficult to twist the screw to open it. Unless you have a partner doing the screwing (hah!) for you, the angle is really awkward, and the amount of force required to turn the "key" is a bit annoying.(I suppose it might not be so bad, depending on how far you're trying to open it or how tight the orifice is that you're opening. But I definitely wasn't opening the speculum to it's full size when I used it; maybe 3/4 open, vaginally. Didn't get to try anal insertion, because of the previously-mentioned issue with longevity.)-Related to the above: It had a slight tendency to "stick" once it was far enough open, meaning I had a bit of a fright, thinking I wasn't going to be able to get it closed again. I could get another twist open (with effort), but it took some finesse (a.k.a. Wiggling the key a lot while trying to relax my vaginal muscles) to get it to twist closed. THAT would have been an embarrassing problem to fix... But it ended up okay. Both times.Other notes:At least it was cheap... So, if I'm being honest, I'm actually tempted to buy another one despite the problems, just to see if this was simply a bad piece, rather than a bad overall product. It WAS pretty fun to use while it worked, and I never did get to try it anally...

It does exactly what I was hoping it would do

Wow! I LOVE THIS! I had hoped it was larger, but I was satisfied with it as far as quality and ultimately the size. I am a crossdresser so my use for this is anal play and it lived up to my hopes.

I have bought various speculums, pratt, mathieu and one other, but the collin large is by far the best, easiest to use and also the cheapest. It's exactly what I was looking for and I am sure you would be just as happy as I am

Great product and quality. Had some rough edges when arrived but easily smoothed with 120 grit Emory cloth. I just wish there was a speculum that was in this price range that opened you a bit bigger. Still love it though.
