Good for the average pet owner
If you are new to canine conditioning, it is a good book to get started. However, I know a lot about canine conditioning and rehabilitation and did not learn or find anything to further my education from this book. It was colorful but one does not need fancy equipment to help a dog gain strength and improve overall conditioning. In fact, one can use many things they may already have around their house. It was laid out well and had some good information for the average pet owner.

CCF Titles
This book is very helpful when earning CCF (Canine Conditioning Fitness) titles! I suggest using it alongside the free masterclass that can be found on her Do More With Your Dog website. The website offers ways to substitute equipment with things around your house and also has a discussion section for each skill where you can ask a certified instructor for help or suggestions for acceptable substitutions. My dogs are in the middle of earning their CCF titles, but I plan to continue their conditioning on a regular basis after the titles are earned. This book is going to be a good tool to keep handy in my dog training space at home - easy to reference to make sure I'm putting my dogs in the correct positions and working the right muscles.I didn't think I needed this book at first because of the free information on the website, but I'm glad I ended up buying the book too. The 2 compliment each other very well and each offers things the other doesn't.

Lots of extra equipment required!
I like the way that this book is laid and and the visuals are good, but this book is not for the "average " dog owner. The amount of extra equipment required to do these exercises are going to cost several hundreds (potentially thousands if we are talking about the treadmill in level 1) of dollars. At one point, they recommend setting up a row of inflatable bones that are around $80 a piece on Amazon. I like the idea of this for my aging dog, but unless you have access to an agility course, you will probably be disappointed.

Loads of important information!
Really enjoying this book. It is way more than just pictures of tricks! It has the step-by-step beautiful photos that Kyra’s books are known for, but also teaches you a lot about canine structure, muscles, and fitness. I do performance sports with my dogs and want them to be fit and flexible their whole lives. This book taught me a lot about how realize that goal.

Another great book from Kyra!
I love Kyra’s 101 tricks and I have recommended the book to many people. Canine Conditioning is great book on conditioning your dog. It is a great book on how to keep your dog in tip top shape regardless if the dog competes in sports or recovering from injuries. I highly recommend this book. It is very easy to follow.

Love this new book from Kyra Sundance!
Just received the book yesterday, and today it got really cold outside here with lots of snow. Perfect day to do some canine conditioning with Kyra's new book. We had so much fun, and my three dogs are happy and tired. it shows you with each exercise what muscles are worked/strengthened. You will need some tools to help with the exercises, but some can easily be substituted with things you already have at home. Or check your local second hand store for many ideas there. Love the ideas in the book!

Best conditioning book for dog!
So pleased I bought this book. There are exercises and stretches for my dog,she seemed pleased of the attention.Colourful pictures (500) and very straight forward to follow. Some activites needed props but we just improvised and used a beanbag (instead of expensive inflatable bone) then we used rope toys instead of lots of plastic sticks to walk over.(this gets the dog used to thinking about placing back feet) all activities are easy to follow and well thought out. A few of the stretches are a bit like tai chi (strike a pose and hold) The book has four different levels of how hard an exercise is which is good to see. Each exercise focuses on different parts of conditioning for your dog.The book focuses on five components flexibility, balance,stamina,co-ordination and strength.I think the book is suitable for all dogs of all ages....and reduces risk of injury/joint problems in the future. Its very good to read all the tips as it recommends warming up before trying any exercises this is very important so not to injure your pet! Easy to read and digest any information. Kyra Sundance really does know a lot about canine fitness.Overall i highly recommend this book- my dog seems pleased with it too!

Lots of fun looking exercises but no use without a lot of equipmemt
Good book if you have a dog gym or a lot of space and equipment. The reality as someone living in a small house without anywhere to store all the equipment needed is that I can't really do any of the exercises as almost everything needs equipment which takes up a lot of space.

Schön aufgebaut und gut erklärt. Auch interessant für Hundetrainer, die sportlich noch mehr für ihre Gruppen anbieten möchten.
