very nice, not as much paper as I had hoped but at leas it is re fillable. don't know what type of leather it is made of (cow, pig, horse of dog) and it is made in china. (I was hoping for made in America) but it is still a good journal. will buy more later.

Not as "old-timey" or as big as I was hoping for. The pages are held in by rings like a binder.The cross loops on the back, give the false impression the pages may be bound by leather ties. It is a decent value.

I love the size of this journal, I would give it 5 stars if I could ding lined paper that would fit this journal

the book was Ok but small---like maybe a 4 x6 ----I got it for a friend that had a new houseboat & I was ashamed to give itto her!!!

I was look for a pocket size notebook that will fit in my camera bag and pocket, and I also want it in elegant looking. Most notebooks on the market are size 4 x 6 or even 5 x 8 which is too large for me, but this one just fit all my needs. The paper in this notebook is prefect match for its "leather" cover. It just look like so elegant with my film camera and my leather camera bag. With this price and quality, I think this are one of top choices.Just saying the shipping is kinda slow if you compare to regular item that ship from amazon or within the US. It take like almost 3 weeks to arrive to my hand. But once you get it you will love it.

The leather is real. The paper is nice. The compass design was spot on. (I read that some people had typos...I did not). Remember that this is small about the size of your open hand. I got this instead of making one just for the 3-hole-binder. But i am very pleased.Also keep in mind that this product comes from CHINA/ASIA so it will take awhile to ship.

Flap covers some of the design on the front when closed. String to hold closed is a cheap material that is holding up so far.

Cheap; REAL cheap.But hey; look what you paying for it.
