Best Buy of the century more for your money than you need
Blackness: In my opinion, which means a lot to me and if it means something to you, that’s why you’re reading this review. I have hands-on experience with this. I love this product. It’s name brand top-notch greatness. I was gonna get a spray can but this value of mixing it up yourself is beyond belief. You don’t have to waste money on a can when you can make your own by just adding denatured alcohol. I love it. It’s a great product. It works exceptional. My laser loves it too and best of all you don’t have to ruin your lungs with smoke. I highly suggest it. This is Mike Walker with door and lock tips. I’ve shot video on this stuff and I do love it. You will love it too hands-down the best product in the world go look at other reviews and if you’re not sold after reading, all the rest of them and the exceptional product with no smoke the laser loves it, and you can engrave on steel keys, see I’m a master Locksmith and I needed it to engrave on keys and I have to paint my keys with this stuff otherwise the laser reflex I highly recommend it. Five stars is not enough. Functionality: Simple to whip up Paint quality: None better in the industry Value for money: This is why I bought it. I wanted to save money and have the best in the world.

Worth the money
This stuff is INCREDIBLE. I was nervous especially since it’s expensive! But it REALLY helped and it doesn’t fade I have been wearing the bracelet I used it on for 3 weeks and it’s staying good!

Worked great with my P2 xTool on pliers
Did a great job…I etched my name on my pliers. I used a regular paintbrush, and it etched with my P2 xTool. I need to try this on some other metal items!

Denatured Alcohol banned in California since 2019
Instructions sound simple: Just add denatured alcohol. Problem is that I live in California and after receiving this discovered that California Air Resources Board (CARB) banned denatured alcohol in 2019. Since I had a project due that day, I tried it with Isopropyl Alcohol 91% instead. This seems to work just fine. The material smoothly mixed and went on smoothly. I think it might have dried a little more slowly than expected - but its also good to note that you don't want a very thick layer - I tried just enough to be opaque. My results on 0.081" thick aluminum disks was pretty good. I used a Glowforge set at 500 speed and 100 power doing an engrave and got a nice opaque black covering that seems pretty hard. If scrubbed hard and for a while, it does come off a little, but seemed pretty sturdy. I also tried "Score" at the same settings and got a nice thin line that was also pretty sturdy, but I considered too faint for my purposes. One hint - this material after application is just a soft powder that isn't really adhered to the surface. Don't handle or touch it or stack material or it will come off. I had 24 disks to do and I painted it on them all and let them dry, then stacked them up, took to the laser when I started laying them out, many had missing sections of the material where it had stuck on the bottom of the neighboring piece. So, for the next batch, I just laid them out in the laser bed and painted them there - it only takes a few minutes to dry and the color gets lighter as that happens, so you can spot any wet spots. Be sure to ventilate well (leave the lid open) so those volatile fumes are clear before operating the LASER!

Excellent product. Did the job.
I needed to brand 500 stainless rounds with our laser engraver, and this worked very well. Opted to use a small detail paintbrush instead of the included foam brush, as I was concerned about the volume to spread across all 500 pieces. (We ended up with plenty of extra) I used a 40W engraver at 95% power and 450mm per second engraving speed. It's important to make sure the layer you paint on it opaque! If it doesn't block all the metal color from showing through the engraving will rub off. Directions for mixing were simple. Add denatured alcohol to the line and mix/shake. I found that just shaking was easiest. Denatured alcohol is easily found in the painting section of most department or hardware stores. If you accidentally add too much, it's fine, as you'll just need to do an extra coat or let some evaporate.
