Great deal, price is on par with quality. Cat approved
Overall the hangers are of decent quality. I used a 2x4 with 3 inch #10 wood screws mounted along the studs of the wall. I also bought #8 3/4 inch truss head screws in black to match and mount the brackets. I personally prefer using an impact driver over a drill, it delivers a cleaner result without stripping screw heads. Guitar brackets are spaced 8 inches on center to cover the space I have to use. I’m impressed that they hold up to my acrylic 5 string bass as well. That thing weighs a ton on its own. All of my brackets also have no issue with locking the swivel portion in place. A few of the u shaped hangers are looser than others when turned to match each headstock, but I don’t see a major issue with that. I also installed them upside per other suggestion, because it does make far more sense from a strength point of view. And for safe measure, my one cat decided to play acrobat today. She jumped up on the 2x4, proceeding to walk across the entire set of brackets. Guitars are still on the wall, even with the added weight of a 10lbs cat walking across them.

Good product.
Worked great. I ended up using another product but only because I wanted the guitars more flush to the wall. These stick out quite a bit which is not a design flaw just a nature consequence of having the option to angle them sideways.

Best hangers for a lot of guitars
Overall very happy with the product. Two issues. Not very heavy duty as others have said, BUT, they hold heavy guitars which is what matters. No problem with an 8lb guitar. For the second issue, there is a small metal piece on top of where the guitar hanging that the guitar rest on swivels. It is supposed to click into different angle positions. BUT, it does not stay in each position. Not a huge dal but would be nice, to keep guitars angled at a specific position when taken down and hanging up a guitar. Overall, happy with purchase.

A good Value for 10 guitar hangers
Pretty flimsy import with a lot of slop in the joints but there are some things you can do to make it usable. I criss/crossed a couple of 4" zip ties around each neck-holder to tighten up the slop and so they won't spin freely every time you remove a guitar. I used 1" black flat head screws to hold each to a 2x4 support beam. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M63E8DR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , these screws are self tapping so no need to drill pilot holes. My support board is mounted to the wall studs with 3" lag bolts from Lowes. I mounted mine 7" (on center) apart for electric solid bodies, 8" apart for acoustics. They can't hang face out at this spacing but can be hung sideways or out at 45 degrees. Slide in metal plates are included for each hanger, for music stores with slotted walls I presume. But if you are a music store you should be looking for something sturdier. I wouldn't hang a '59 Les Paul on it but fine for us commoners.

Great Guitar Hanger!
I have 20 of these hangers now holding most of my guitars and they seem to be very solid. Angling the hanger to 45 degrees allowed me to fit 20 guitars in a space that previously held only 12. One criticism in other reviews I did NOT find to be the case is the ability to keep the angle of the hanger hold without moving. Every one of mine is holding just fine. I created a hanging bar out of 1”x3” solid oak. Oak is a harder wood then the pine in 2x4’s recommended in other reviews. The oak is lag bolted to all 12 studs it crosses and the whole setup is solid and looks great! Check out the pics! Also, I mounted them opposite from some of the pics I saw with the angle button on the bottom. I felt the mounting bracket provided better support being under the hanger bar rather than on top of it. Update: There is a spring loaded button that holds the angle of the bracket ... that perhaps wasn’t there before? See pic. Also added pic showing the reverse mounting I used.

Super solid
These do a great job and priced so nice. Every once in a while I do need a small screwdriver to push the lock button into place. Also would be better with hardened screws as the ones with it can strip a bit. Still, bought a second set and would buy another. Search local ads for sawmill to get a cool chunky board like you see in my pics.

Not as good as prior purchase !
They hangers serve their purpose however the quality of the metal used is a bit thinner therefore a little less stable. The hangers still are able to hold solid body electric guitars but overtime one could imagine them bending somewhat. Typical of how as consumers we get the short end of everything we purchase, shave and save a bit off of everything from a bag of chips,an ice cream drumstick and not to mention the price of a pickup truck!!!!! Ridiculous!!! We as consumers need to rally against the manufacturer s of these vehicles especially for those of us who need them for work and driving to the stinking grocery store!!!Sorry about the rant folks but I'm feed up with getting ripped off!!!

Turn at a 45 degree angle to the wall for maximum capacity
I have two bass guitars, two acoustic and several electric guitars on loan from my neighbor who practices at my place. They're all in a very small room that also has a drum set and amps. There is no way we could fit all the guitars in that room without these. I've had another set like this design for a few years and had no problems with durability. I screwed them into a 6-foot board, with the hooks at a 45 degree angle, spaced just far enough apart where you can hang guitars without the hardware scratching the one next to it. The distance between hooks will depend on the guitar you are hanging. I hung the first set far enough to hang acoustic or electric, but this set is just for electrics, so they're a little closer. Then the board is screwed into the wall studs with two 2.5 inch screws at each stud. It feels sturdy, like it could withstand a hard bump but I would not put any more weight on it than the guitars.

These hangers are absolutely fine. I looked at the advice from other buyers about flipping them, but the physics of fulcrums led me to mount them the advertised way. The welds are decent, the heaviest thing I’m hanging at the moment in a 9lb bass which has lasted a month on the wall so far. Installed 39 and no failures yet. One star removed as the rivets holding the cradle are a little hit or miss, but out of 50 hangers only one felt like it was way too loose to risk. If you’re wanting a more solid feel, I’d suggest some small spring clips to act as washers.

These hooks have worked well and were easy to install. So far they have been secure and the ability to adjust the angle the guitars are hanging has made a huge difference in making the most of the space.

These are great hangers. I have a wall in my music room holding basses, electric and acoustic guitars and they are sturdy and reliable!

I bought 10 of these and only used the hanger, not the bracket. Unlike other reviewers I don't consider these to be inexpensive. They are about £9 per unit and that is more than many alternatives. That said, they come with slotted mounts that are used to hang them on shop style panels which allow them to be moved easily. Others have said they don't fit that well in standard panelling, I can't comment on that as I screwed them directly to a batten which was mounted to the wall. I prepared a baton which came from an old door frame. It was mahogany and I have the equipment to cut it to size and plane it flat, and round over the edges. I then painted it white to match the wall. Be mindful you'll need to work something similar yourselves. I was able to mount 8 brackets (eight inches apart) on the baton and I mounted the baton directly onto a brick wall with 120mm concrete screws. I wasn't taking any chances! At first sight out of the bag, the brackets don't inspire confidence. They are made from thin square tubular box steel and spot welded into a right angled bracket. I hung mine with the bracket underneath the support arm. This is a better way to do it as the bracket supports the arm and has two spot welded points to stop the arm separating from the bracket. When mounted the other way the weight of the guitar is held by one spot weld point. I think the confusion comes from the pictures showing the bracket in what I consider to be an upside down orientation. Mounting the 'correct' way, you can both see and access the button which you push to adjust the hanging angle of the guitar. The guitar headstock cradle is fitted loosely. This doesn't inspire confidence. This could have been solved if the locking washer was pushed further onto the shaft of the cradle, but alas it wasn't. This gives a sloppy feel to the bracket. I expect many people might be wondering if it will work loose and fall off. I think that's unlikely. They are rated to hold up to 60lbs. Most electric guitars are under 10lbs so if the rating can be believed they have ample strength for all guitar applications. I suggest you mount the brackets to a wooden batten, make sure the bracket mounting screws penetrate the depth of the baton for the best fixing. The real issue is getting the baton onto the wall securely to hold the combined weight of the guitars. I'd use as many fixings as you can, at least one for every 2 guitars. I located my screws underneath the brackets so they cannot be seen. This requires you to refit the hanger over the wall screw afterwards. I pre-fitted the brackets and removed the ones I need to to allow for fixing. Conclusion: I wished they were available in smaller quantities as multiples of 10 can be expensive if you have 12 guitars lets say. Perhaps offering a cheaper option to purchase without the slotted pieces which I expect go mostly unused by the majority of people buying these. Overall, they work and there isn't anything else on the market (that I can) see that does what these do, hang your guitars out from the wall at an angle. When hanging they look good and you can hang more guitars in less space. I hope this helps with your decision.
