There is no butter in this product. I specifically purchased it to avoid canola oil and because butter baked goods taste better. But alas it has rapeseed oil. the real butter baked madeleines, I suppose, are very rare.

I love Madeleines and these are delish. I just wish that they weren't so expensive. However, these are less than others. I'm going to learn how to make them so I can save $200 a year.These come individually wrapped so they are always soft and fresh. Yummmmm

I have compared and contrasted almost every single type of madeleine on the market since I love them so much and I can say with confidence that these are by far the most delicious ones I have found. Each morning I have 2 for breakfast to dunk in my chocolate milk while my wife dunks them in her coffee on our way to work. They are imported directly from France and the quality shows, I would recommend these to anyone who likes french madeleine cookies.

Happy to have a little bit of France shipped to my door. I missed eating these and was happy to find them on here. They came in a reasonable amount of time and were individually wrapped and still fresh.

Not too sweet and the texture is just right for eating plain or using for the base of strawberry shortcake.
