Passed in 75 with nothing but this book. Made the actual exam seem like child's play
I passed the NCLEX-RN in 75 questions using basically nothing but this book. The caveat is that I literally did every single question in this book and took the time to read all of the rationales whether I got the question correct or incorrect. In all honesty, It took me probably 4 weeks to go through the entire book and that was with a kid and working full-time. I would power through 100 a day every once in a while, but most days I just did 50 questions, and somedays it was only 30, others it was none. The point I'm attempting to get across to you is that this book will more than amply prepare you for the NCLEX in a way that is absolutely not stressful. I was stressed when I was studying because I didn't understand yet just how good this book was. Put it this way: Buy this book, do all the questions and read the rationales and then relax and know you are going to to do well. I've seen some reviewers complaining about the answers with rationales being located directly opposite the questions. Some people will always find something negative about a good thing. It's really simple, use a piece of paper to cover it until you're ready to look at the answer, then you can use that paper to write any notes you want to take from the rationales. Flipping to the back of a book 50 times gets old and will lessen the likelihood you will actually read the rationales and see it as a learning process, rather than just taking the questions like a mock exam and seeing how well you do. I cannot stress enough how important reading the rationales for every question are. ALSO. Two more very important things for my future fellow-RNs: First, every chapter is composed of s different category of NCLEX question (Managed client care, Physiological integrity, Psychosocial integrity, etc), I HIGHLY suggest that you do not just start at question one and plan on working straight through the book. Try doing 50 questions in one and moving to the next chapter. This way, in case something happens and you don't finish the book, you were still exposed to all the different forms of NCLEX questions. In the introductory part of the book that I know is so easy to skip past, there is very important information that you need to know and use. Things like "The Umbrella Option" and words like "always, never, only" are important for you to find out how they are relevant to NCLEX. Finally, and this is probably the most important piece of my review and advice for using this book. Also in the introductory part of the book is the keys to Prioritization Questions. These are the questions that will be on your exam often when you will be passing in 75 questions. All you need to know are Maslow's, the ABCs and the nursing process. Know those like the back of your hand and the prioritization questions actually become quite easy because they never deviate from these frameworks. Long story short, I highly recommend this book and nothing else. I studied a bunch or pharmacology or the exam and it was totally not needed for this exam. I will also add that if you might have heard they made the NCLEX more heavily select all that apply, but in my experience they were not difficult at all, probably not even if I hadn't done this whole book. I think anyone that worked hard in nursing school will do great on the NCLEX with just a little effort and this book is perfect in my opinion. I had a comprehensive study guide also, but it was too stressful and overwhelming to look at because trying to study every single thing from nursing school IS overwhelming. After it's all said and done, my perspective is trying to do this would be torture that you shouldn't inflict on yourself. You don't have to, just an hour or two a day, just doing NCLEX questions (PS The questions in this book are way harder than any of the questions that were on my exam). Good luck! You can do it! I hope this was helpful.

Good rationales, uses brand names for drugs
The chapters are logically organized and the review questions and rationales are thorough. The answers and rationals are next to the questions, which can be mediated by using a scrap piece of paper to cover the answers. I will say that it's human nature to inadvertently let a wandering eye peek at the answers on the next page and it takes a little training to purposely not look at the next page when flipping. Additionally, the book uses generic and brand names for the drug questions, which does not reflect the newest format of the NCLEX. If you're hoping to practice pharm questions without brand names, I'd recommend a different book for that.

Good book
great questions! Recently took my NCLEX and passed in 75. I used this book from the beginning and after a review class. The format and wording are very challenging which helped prepare me for the complex format of the test. The rationales are solid and informative. My only issue was there format which was convenient yet frustrating to flip the page and cover the answer simultaneously. It was nice to see the answers but if I glanced the wrong way I ruined the question for myself by seeing the answer. Other than that the content is solid and the questions are excellent.

Practice questions and review all in one.
If you haven't bought this book yet for your NCLEX studying, do so immediately. This book is such a great study tool with a ton of practice questions that hit every aspect of nursing school from basic fundamentals, legal and ethics, to maternity and critical care and literally everything in between. The rationales are great for the questions as well. It's practice questions and a review all in one. I used this for my NCLEX studying and passed with 75 questions, there was content in this book that was on my exam that if I wouldn't have opened this book I would have never known what it was. Get it now!

I highly recommend this book together with the other books by Saunders
I highly recommend this book together with the other books by Saunders...I used her works as my main review materials during my NCLEX-RN review last year. The rationales are well explained and easily to be remembered...to those who are planning to take the exam I advise you to please read a lot of practice questions maybe up to 10,000 questions although mine I read and answered 6,000 questions in 7 months during my review period and I made it!!! My exam stopped at 75 question and I tell you those 75 questions were hard!!! but I'm confident that I will pass coz I knew all the books that I've read through esp. Saunders book helps me a lot. Goodluck!!!!

Good practice questions
Good practice questions. But during nursing school I was hoping to use this book to study for exams. The book provides questions but not organized according to system. Rationales are legit, sources are provided, and layout is nice. Question and choices on one side if the page and the answer and rationale on the ither side. So as long as you have a folded piece if paper to cover the answers as you go along, its a good study book

I absolutely recommend this book
I absolutely recommend this book!!! I suggest that you use the code provided and do the questions online instead of right from the book. With so many products on the market it's difficult to choose one that will work the best for everyone. I tool my NCLEX-RN two days ago and passed!! This book helped me a ton with my NCLEX preparation. I would sit for at least 150 questions each day and it helped a ton. I suggest reading ALL rationales, right or wrong because this will only reinforce what you know or help you understand material better. Best of luck to everyone!

I enjoyed using this book to study as it has tons of questions, however, they are not NCLEX style. Yes, they get you thinking and testing your knowledge, but the question format on the actual test is different. The test includes select all that apply, place in the correct order, and some diagrams to label. This book did not have those :(

Great textbook
Arrived quickly. Great condition. The questions are great but I wish the answers were hidden. They are right next to the question so you constantly have to cover them not to see them.

What idiot wrote this book?! Why would you place the answers right next to the question? I can't accurately tell how prepared I am or focus on the questions if I'm constantly trying not to peek at the answer.
