Great Quality, Easy to Assemble, Amazing Price
Surprisingly Great bike I’ve had for a few years now. I’m 6’2 and this bike is great for me. At the time I purchased, I was using daily at 200 - 215 pounds and riding multiple miles a day. Still holding strong. Make sure to take care of it and it will take care of you. Can’t go wrong with price and build quality. Also extremely easy to assemble.

I had to send it back. Package came all beat up and the bike came scratched up along with the seat.
The bike is great. I have the same one. I bought this for a birthday gift. Unfortunately it came scratched up.

First impressions & assembly
Bike was easy to assemble, as it arrives mostly assembled aside from the seat, handlebar, pedals, and front wheel. Brakes needed some adjusting (although perhaps that's because the people responsible for assembling it decided to forgo the instructions ... hmmm). It's lightweight and comfortable to ride. A big improvement over my very solid 1990s-era mountain bike! For those wondering about size, I'm 5'7" and had to raise the seat up from it's lowest position about 2 - 3" for it to be a comfortable riding height (although I like a high seat). Although not shown in the photos, this bike DOES come with a kickstand and front and rear reflectors. I made the mistake of ordering a kickstand before taking the bike out of the box. Whoops. Nothing negative to report, just yet!

Nearly froze to death from malfunction. Missing several parts, and discovered a new kind of fear.
This bike was used a grand total of two times before the chain started outright slipping off every single time I pedalled a full rotation (I had spent over a month by that point just gradually buying safety equipment.) - The shifter had broken after the first use due to falling off a half-foot curb while shifting, and the only clue I go that anything was wrong before attempting to shift with the left shifer was a small clicking noise while pedalling. The second ride, I tried to shift and didn't. Then the clunking started as I was heading back home at 8 PM. Then, at 9 PM, on a friday night, during sub-30-degree weather, the chain slipped totally off. I put it back on and tried to get far enough to safely check what was wrong... and after one full cycle of the pedals, it fell off again. I put it back and the same thing happens a third time. I spent several hours stranded. Hypothermia was setting in and my friends had been unable to locate me for almost an hour and half after that. My fingers kept losing sensation when I wasn't holding them against my chest under my jacket. I was starting to feel warm, and giddy. I knew I could die, and for some reason it became hillarious to me. I don't understand how, and it's not funny now. My friend lucked out and found me at the side of the road. I was too tired, I could barely must the energy to move. Every step I took was careful, measured. I was leaning on my bike for balance. Then we had to take it apart and I had to climb into the car. I managed to get in, but I had to move slowly to make sure I didn't step in the wrong spot. Today is two days later. I checked and I'm missing several of the 6-8 tiny parts that had to be removed to fit the bike inside their car. Probably still in that parking lot. I spent over $500 on this bike, now it's nothing but spare parts to sell to recoup a fraction of the cost. I left my house for the first time in over a week then, but now I have yet another reason to stay home and avoid the outdoors, avoid having to risk freezing once more for the sake of a social life. I have learned to fear the cold, to stay home, and to never trust a bicycle again. This lesson was taught to me by Schwinn. Edit: if your box arrived damaged and you threw it out, you are stuck with the item. A replacement box to ship costs a minimum $169 and Amazon will not provide one or schedule any pickup without one. I am out a bike, a possible job, and the money I spent on this item. Schwinn cost me more than I spent on the bike. I am ruined. Never trust the returns department and never trust this brand.

Schwinn is still a great bike
Me at 70 years old, I think Schwinn is still a great bike. We looked at some of the other great bikes that you have to get from a bike shop that carries their product. This one came with only the pedals handlebars and seat to assemble. Didn't take long to set up at all. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Removing 2 Stars for Not As Described. Very Disappointed.
Purchased as USED/GOOD AS NEW Well, I often attempt to buy used items because most often have experienced good/excellent result when purchasing from Amazon any open box or returned item at a reduced price. I should have returned this one. This bicycle has a couple issues that seem to be related to the previous owner. Mechanical parts of the bike are factory pre-assembled and there's very little that you need to finish yourself, but the guy who owned it before me jacked-up a couple of things so that I had to take stuff apart and put it back together the opposite way around. After double checking the item description on this page, I got messed up and ripped-off. This bike has been altered significantly by the previous owner. The shifters are wrong. The guy who had it before me stole the shifters. The Schwinn product description promises Shimano shifters and derailleurs, however the ones that are on this bike are not marked or indicated in any way to be Shimano brand. And they don't look like the product is pictured on the Shimano website or the Schwinn website, or even this Amazon website. So absolutely they got switched out by the previous owner and that totally explains some of the stuff I had to re-do, such as the brake and gear cables from the handlebars were backwards and tangled. But, even as a middle-aged lady who hasn't deconstructed and rebuilt a bike since Junior High School, I was able to do this one by myself in not too long, even having to do some head-scratching to study it more closely because it had apparently been altered. Only issue I'm really having with functionality is that I've never used trigger/flipper gear shifts, and that's what the previous guy stole & switched... because this bike is supposed to come with grip twist shifters, not thumb lever shifters, and there's a learning curve here... I keep doing something wrong and the chain keeps dropping off the gear. I spent some time looking online for instructions how to use these things, but comments from average people, it's almost impossible to understand their language skills. Can buy the correct shifts reasonably priced right here on Amazon. Guess I'll have to pop into a bike shop and have some kid re-install them. Will absolutely think twice before buying a Used product such as anything mechanical from Amazon ever again. The people in the warehouse apparently don't know how to inspect them properly. This turned out to be a very disappointing purchase.

I'm a happy biker
I really didn't want to pay the price at a local bike shop for a Giant or Trek so I opted for the Schwinn. I'm a casual rider with my mountain biking days behind me now. I just wanted a comfortable bike to ride on the roads or soft trail. For my purpose this bike fits the bill. The quality seems to be there for what the price paid is. The bike came with all the parts the instructions were easy enough and parts seem to be of good quality. I've used the bike a dozen rides and I'm happy with it so far.

No son controles Shimano
La bicicleta es hermosa, sin embargo los controles no son Shimano como están anunciados, son microSHIFT, lo que puede considerarse un engaño. Otro detalle es que la bicicleta es alta, incluso para mí que mido 1.81 m.
