Smandy Aluminum Alloy Router Table Insert Plate with Insertion Ring, 11.81 x 9.25 x 0.37 inch

Have still to fit it, looks ok but finish is not brilliant. Some casting flash and some poor fettling present. Should do what I want it to do. Price was ok for what it is.

Cheap & cheerful. It’s not as precision made as a Kreg but it’s a third of the price. I paid £20 for this it’s now £17.50. Checked the plate with a steel rule and it’s pretty flat and level so I went on to install my router on it. None of the pre drilled holes matched my Triton router so had to drill new ones, this was slightly awkward as one of the existing holes was very close to the position for the new hole but it was doable and router mounted. It’s supplied with two red plastic inserts neither one wanted to fit on the plate as the plate had casting burs around the edge of the hole filled away and one plate fitted fine. The other still wouldn’t go in and I had to file away some of the plastic to make it fit. It’s also supplied with mounting screws but they are all very small and doubt they fit many (or any) routers.All in all though for £20 it does the job I want as a DIYer. If you don’t mind fine tuning it yourself.
