I think I spent the last 4 chapters holding my breath. Waiting for Valentin to come back. I was so disappointed that Viktor didn't stop Valentin from raping Valerie. I think I lost a little bit of respect for him. Unfortunately reading about Ayla being raped constantly from Alberto, my heart didn't break anymore. I guess it numbed me. So, my heart didn't hurt for Valerie. I was slightly turned off by Valentin and Valerie being intimate and Viktor trying to comfort Valerie. And I mean by the timing. Again, Viktor could have stopped Valentin.I will admit I did tear up. When Valerie wore makeup. And when Viktor made her dance. And when Valerie said "please don't hurt me, Viktor". I too know the mean of helplessness. My husband of 27 years divorced me. And when he left our friends left too. Then Covid hit. I was forced to be by myself. And when I mean by myself...I literally had no one. Couldn't go anywhere. Couldn't see anyone. I completely understand hopelessness. And that's where my heart hurt for Valerie. I can sympathize. Not for the same reasons but helplessness is the same no matter the circumstances.I really hope Viktor put his big boy pants on and gets Valerie away from Valentin. Preferably a painful and much needed demise for Valentin. He needs to go. Away. Forever.I did enjoy this read. And I am waiting with bated breath for part 2. I really hope some blood will be shed...preferably Valentin's

I loved reading The Mafia and His Obsession: Part1 ( Tainted Hearts Series book 5.I loved the characters, plot and storyline.I loved the chemistry.I loved all the twists, ups and downs.Read it!

When is the part 2 getting released.. left things up in the air. What is going to happen? Will he get her out of this crazy life?

We are also given a little glimpse of another couple and I couldn’t get enough of them.I really love the Tainted Hearts series and this one did not disappoint. If you enjoyed the previous books you will devour this one as well. If you enjoy dark, intense and secret love you need to read this book. I cannot, CANNOT wait for part 2.“We obliterated each other. This book started out ok but then it became nothing but page after page of sex. . I know they never got caught but the stress and aggravation at the two of them being so careless of being caught just pissed me off so much that it was no longer enjoyable.

The fourth book and I'm still hooked and it's only part ONE! Lylah definitely managed to suck me inside the world she has created, her writing that leaves me speechless and characters I've grown to love more and more. This story was emotional and dark, but in the mist of darkness, there was lightness that shone bright whenever our two main lovers were cocooned in a beautiful, innocent and unbreakable bubble together. Their emotions and the love that slowly bloomed shone and touched me as a reader. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Lylah has the talent to evoke emotions with just a few simple and well thought out words.As said before, the book also has a dark element, and Lylah did a splendid job to keep a good balance between the action/mafia business and romance. She showed enough of both side, enough to make me keep reading and thinking about the story and characters, creating theories.And now I can't wait for PART TWO!

My heart broke for Valerie. Even after all, she’s been through she still fights a silent battle, and doesn’t let her husband break her. I admire her for that. Peace and a sense of escape in Victor. Victor and Valerie are two people trapped in a situation that they can’t get out of but they are able to find comfort in each other. it was great seeing the relationship form and trust being built, especially in a place filled with so much darkness. Once Victor sees Valerie, it’s just the beginning. He can’t get her out of his mind until it comes to the point of obsession.

I have loved every book of the series so far and I have gone back and read them twice now. These books are like my go to for listening while im at work. I would really like to see what happens with Nikolay and Evaline next! He's so broken and all she wants to do is love him but he won't let her. I need their story next! I have to know what becomes of their love.

Just buy it. It is soo beautiful. I couldn’t stop reading it. The author is so talented. I would literally buy every book she has ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A burning love which can ignite a fire in you, it keeps you in the very edge all the time till you read further. I am following all the books Lylah has written and I will follow her till the end (atleast will try to) because TMAHA and TMAHO has become a part of my life giving me hope on love, life, happiness. It gives me love over pain, happiness over sadness, life over death and her books make me ride tge emotional rollercoaster again and again and again

The first in a new duet, but it feels a little familiar…I adored the original trilogy in this series. In it, we get to meet Viktor, who’s the hero in this duet. But in that trilogy, he’s madly in love with the heroine of that trilogy, Ayla. In this series, he’s finding his own love… with Valerie, but she’s basically a carbon copy of Ayla. Sure, there are some differences (she’s a former dancer, she’s deaf, and oh, and she’s BLOND instead of a brunette), but ultimately, her personality is the same. This made me feel a little disappointed, because I’m not a huge fan of romances where the heroine feels like a second choice. Maybe this will be cleared up in the second book?All that said, I still really enjoyed the book. The general plot formula of the romance feels quite similar to the first book, but I adore dark romances where the hero is a villain, but he’s her hero. The angst from the original trilogy is here in spades. There’s an odd cliffhanger at the end of the book that does come out of left field, but I’m still looking forward to reading the second one!

Victor and Valerie are gonna break your heart and then join it again piece by piece and alya can be seen as the queen she is if you love aylessio then make sure you read it
