An Almighty Let-Down
Having only discovered LK in the last year (despite being a child of the Sixties and Seventies), I was eager to receive this after the sheer bliss of his first Let love rule album with its superb title track and On top of the hill, plus Mr cab driver. So what a staggering let down, not a single half decent track on the entire album and I really did want to find something, anything, but, just bland soulless, completely tuneless numbers that any no-hoper could have churned out. Yes, LK gives it his all vocally, but, without a decent melody to support him it is a complete and utter waste of everybody's time, you cannot get away from the hard fact that the tune is everything and there just is not a single tuneful track on this apology for an album. It is hard to believe that the obviously talented singer that gave us Let love Rule is responsible for this dross, it really is. So in no way can I recommend this album to anybody, to do so would be an insult to all the great singer songwriters (Jagger/Richards Lennon/McCartney) who really knew that its the music that counts, very sorry LK., but, there it is.

very good 1998 output
I'm having a 1998 revival, and this one was one of the most played albums at the time. I had never bought it thought. It's a very good one, it aged well while at the same time retaining the sound of the time.

Great fly soul funked rock n roll tunes!
This is Lenny's most rocked up funky album, with large influence of many seventies and sixties soul and funk groups very present. This is full of some very soulful deep tunes, and some Lenny classics like Fly Away, American Woman, Live, If you can't ssay no, and the strange almost electo dance Black velveteen. Big funky rock sould record. Groovy soul music.
