The Lionman: Series 1 And 2 [DVD]

Having watched snippets on TV I haven't been disappointed with series 1 and 2 which chronicles the Zion Wildlife Park in New Zealand. Craig is to be commended for his devotion to the cause of saving endangered lions and tigers and bringing an awareness to everyone, from the visitors to the park to the world-wide TV audience. It is marvellous to watch the interaction with him and his "babies" whom, he says, look upon him as "Dad" whilst remembering that these animals are potential killers. To see the park being developed and expanded, Craig's trips to Africa, securing a deal to bring the first white lion to New Zealand, and the highs and lows that are part of it is truly amazing.

Excellent series. A DVD about conservation rather than about animal behaviour in the wild, but brilliant regardless. Uplifting. Craig is personable and engaging, as well as down to earth. The photography is wonderful, the animals the real stars, and watching highly recommended. I've just purchased series 3.

We love Lionman. Have followed Craig on tv we enjoyed it so much we bought the dvd. Unfortunately we have not watched them yet because the serieus is screened too frequently on tv. I would not have purchased if I had known it would be shown over and over again on tv. I will keep boxed set as bought unopened for prosperity due to the recent ongoings with Craig's personal life!

Actually bought for someone else who says its really well worth watching, its extremely interesting and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I got this boxset for my partner as we started watching it on sky one and he loves it, in fact we both do! Its amazing to watch Craig in action and how he maintains and grows relationships with the cubs and lions. Its also great to see how they are trying to breed the lions and tigers an example of that are the bengal white tigers. This is a must for an wildlife, animal, lion or tiger lover. You grow attached to the them as you watch the 2 series and it can sometimes be very emotional. I cant wait to see series 3!!
