Question 1

Are both Z71 decals identical, or is one mirrored for the opposite side?

Accepted Answer

Both decals are identical — not mirrored. Text in the design would appear backwards if mirrored. This follows the same standard used by original factory decal manufacturers. Both sides of your truck receive the same graphic.

Question 2

Which Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra model years fit these Z71 decals?

Accepted Answer

Precision-cut for 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2500 HD. Also fits 2007–2013 GMC Sierra. Not for 2014+ models — those use a slimmer Z71 Off Road design with different dimensions.

Question 3

What are the exact dimensions of each Z71 4x4 bedside decal?

Accepted Answer

Each decal measures 12.5" wide × 4.0" tall — the original full-size Z71 4x4 format for 2007–2013 GMT900 Silverado and Sierra. This size differs significantly from the slim 2014+ Z71 Off Road profile.

Question 4

What colors are in the Z71 4x4 graphic — is the Z red, black, or both?

Accepted Answer

The Z features a bold red and black gradient fade. The 71 is silver chrome. This matches the classic factory color scheme your 2007–2013 Silverado came with — no surprises when you open the box.

Question 5

Are these Z71 Silverado decals weatherproof and UV-resistant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Premium Series uses UV-resistant laminated vinyl rated for up to 5 years outdoors. Peel & Stick is rated for 2 years. Both handle sun, rain, road debris, and temperature swings without lifting or fading.

Question 6

How do I install Z71 4x4 decals — wet or dry application method?

Accepted Answer

Premium Series: wet slip-solution method — reposition until aligned, then smooth flat. Peel & Stick: dry air-release — press and smooth directly. Full installation instructions are included with every order.

Question 7

Can Z71 decals be removed without damaging factory paint or a vinyl wrap?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The adhesive is paint-safe. Heat with a heat gun or hair dryer, peel from one edge, then wipe residue with automotive adhesive remover. Safe on factory paint, vinyl wraps, and powder coat.

Question 8

Do these Z71 stickers adhere to surfaces beyond painted metal truck panels?

Accepted Answer

Designed for painted metal panels, these decals bond to clean, smooth surfaces including fiberglass, aluminum, and toolbox covers. Avoid textured, porous, or freshly waxed surfaces for best adhesion.

Question 9

What is the difference between Premium Series and Peel & Stick Z71 decals?

Accepted Answer

Premium Series: metallic finish, wet installation, 5-year outdoor rating. Peel & Stick: dry air-release adhesive, faster application, 2-year outdoor rating. Both ship as a set of 2 matching decals.

Question 10

Are GOLD HOOK Z71 decals officially licensed by General Motors or Chevrolet?

Accepted Answer

GOLD HOOK Z71 decals are premium aftermarket replacement products — not licensed by GM or Chevrolet. Precision-designed to replicate the factory dimensions, color scheme, and finish of original Z71 4x4 Silverado bedside decals.
