We bought this heater to use in a finished basement that tends to be on the cold side when the weather gets frightful. It's the most powerful ceramic heater we've ever owned, yet it's safe enough to use around young children and pets. (NOTE: I'm referring to closely supervised children. Leaving children unattended around any space heater is a bad idea, and leaving any space heater running in an empty room for more than a few minutes is not recommended!) The heater is powerful enough to warm up a 12-foot by 12-foot room, or make things more comfortable in front of it in a larger room. Despite this, the grille doesn't get hot enough to cause burns on brief contact or set nearby combustibles on fire. But use some common sense here -- do not place your feet on the heater to warm them up, do not run it near your drapes, do not pile papers on or around it, and please, please, please do not use it to warm up the room where you store your cans of gasoline cans or other liquids that give off combustible vapors!As with most space heaters, the thermostat and speed controls on this model aren't all that useful. We just use it on high most of the time. Maybe those would be more useful if you're using the heater in a smaller room or under a desk. We also don't use the oscillating feature, but that might be more useful.The feature we like most is the tipover switch, which turns the heater off if it gets knocked over. That's a feature you want to have if there are pets or kids around, or if you use your heater on a rug or carpeted floor. The switch will also turn the heater off if someone picks it up off the floor, which is why it's a must-have feature if there are children around. Again, the grille doesn't get hot enough to cause burns on casual contact, but all bets are off if a precocious child decides to pick the heater up, and that could get even worse if it's a child with "sensory issues", who might not notice that her hand is getting burned until serious damage has been done. The tipover switch makes such injuries far less likely. (But again, do not leave young children unattended around any space heater, including this one.)

This heater is extremely small and extremely mighty! I am totally amazed at the output. My apartment is a small, drafty apartment (approximately 440 sq. feet). Where I live, I do not have a working heater. The cold is extremely harsh on me. I bought this in hopes it might be able to keep at least my sleeping quarters warm at night and my office warm during my working hours. (I work from home.) This thing is keeping my entire apartment warm and toasty! I do not even have it set on the highest setting. It has kept the place warm even when we have subfreezing temperatures outside. AMAZING!!!! I wish I had gotten this thing years ago.Note: I keep all my indoor doors open so the air can circulate. If the doors were closed, the heat would just be in one room - the room the heater is in. This might seem obvious to some, but to others not so much.

This is the very best little heater around: It's sturdy, the heat level is great, If it is knocked over, it turns off till set upright. It works, and lasts for a very long time. I have one in my bathroom. We have two cats in our garage that really enjoy the comfort heat when it's cold in winter. It's so cute to see them sleep in their warm beds. Actually, we have 2 of these heaters, one for each cat, because they don't like to sleep together :) I hope the company that makes these little heaters, keep on keeping making them. Thank you!!!

I purchased this in 2020 because my little home office is an add-on that's not very well insulated. So that room takes longer to heat off the HVAC than everything else in the house. If I turn it on high while I make my coffee and breakfast, the room is comfortably warm by the time I'm ready to sit down for work. The automatic shut-off is a neat safety feature. If you need it for consistent, daily heat, you can buy this, but be ready to replace it in about 2 years. It's not built for that. But if you just need a little kick of warmth, this is the unit to get!

Worth the price

This little heater really does the job. I bought two. It's small enough to fit almost anywhere and is great for heating up a bathroom for young children during fall and winter. It's strong enough to heat a room. The only down side is that it is kind of loud, but you get used to the background noise after awhile.

I needed a heater for my living room/dining room. It gets cold in both. I did not want to buy a large heater bc I have a small very active child. This heater was just right in price and size. I wasnt looking for warm just take the chill off and it did. However, it did blow fuse due to wattage. I have to adjust bc it is 1500w. Overall, it works great for me to sit relax and binge watch on the weekends!

This little heater is amazing. It puts out great volume of heat. I turns off if it tips over (very nice).

Hasta ahora esta funcionando muy bien :D El termostato esta como que mal configurado, o calienta demasiado o no calienta... Pero mientras calienta lo hace bien.
