Great Big Dvd & CD

Fun , honorable music

I had the chance to see GBS last year in Fort Lauderdale. I happened on them as AMAZON gave them to me as aRECOMENDATION. This AWESOME CD/DVD still just gives you a slight measure of how fun seeing them live can be.I love all the extra's on the DVD. To hear these guys is to love them. Fantastic music. They just make you feel happy.I only wish I had been turned onto them before last year. I have since bought everything the have recorded.The newest CD.. IS AWESOME They could have written "Nothing but a song" for me and my brother.

I fell in love with Great Big Sea over a burned copy of Rant and Roar, and I had to see the DVD. These guys have so much energy! You can tell that they really love performing, and they really connect with their (MASSIVE) audience. I can't believe that they're still relatively unknown in the U.S. After watching it for probably the 5th time over the course of a weekend, I ordered copies for my brother and a friend. If you just can't get enough of Great Big Sea, or want to share the love with a friend, this is a great buy! Especially because you get the CD of the live performance to blare in the car on the way to work. Sing loud!

Great Big Sea is a band comprised of members from small towns in Newfoundland, Canada. They play a Celtic folk/rock style of music - an interesting blend of traditional with contemporary. They simply can't record a song that doesn't lift you up and make you want to dance and sing along! This live performance CD/DVD is outstanding, and I'm not usually a live performance kind of guy. The guitar and other instrumental work is outstanding, the vocals are strong, melodic and harmonious, the drumming is compelling, and the enthusiasm of these guys is truly infectious. Outstanding.Check out "Rant and Roar" as well; not live, but will make whatever you're doing fun.

You won't be sorry by buying this cd/dvd. This was my first purchase of Great Big Sea, and I can see why people get hooked. Great Vocals,great energy, you can't just sit there and not at least tap your toes. If your feeling a little sad put this cd in, it will lift you up. Telling all my friends and family about this group that has been so popular in Canada for years. I'm buying more.

Fun. Districtive. Lively. Rocked-out and Rowdy New Foundland Sound. It's like Irish music plugged in, amped up, made orginal, and more fun. They're even better in concert. One of those rare bands that you can bring the whole family to see. You'll have a blast, whether Irish music is your thing or not.

What a great concert to have on cd/dvd! I can't wait until Great Big Sea's next live release! If you haven't heard this band, you MUST!Check their schedule for a show near you. I have seen them about 10 times and will go back over and over.

Like someone else said, if it is possible to wear out a cd, this one will be it! All Great Big Sea albums are excellent, but if you have to have only one this is the one to start with. The best versions of all of their best songs, or most of their best songs, it isn't possible to get them ALL on one disc. I am ordering another copy so I have the DVD.

Un régal que ce DVD et son cd correspondant. Great Big Sea en concert, ça vaut la peine d'être vu. Différent du cd "Road Rage" qui était une compilation de différents titres live, là c'est tout un concert, et un excellent concert. Je vous le recommande chaudement. En plus de concert, des bonus, clips, interviews, c'est très complet.

Kann diese CD-DVD nur weiter empfehlen, ist echt ne voll gut Scheibe was die machart und auch die Musik angelangt.Die CD ist soundtechnisch Einwanfrei gemacht , was bei einemLivekonzert ja nicht immer einfach ist.Auch die DVD ist echt so wie eine LiveDVD sein muss,einwandfreier Sound und sehr gute Bilderwiedergabe,auch die spezials sind sind alle sehr gut gemacht und auch durchdacht.Ich kann die CD nur empfehlen, wer auf Irisch-Kanadische Musiksteht ist das schon ein Pflichkauf.

カナダで昨年11月に発売されたファン待望のライブDVD「Great Big DVD」のアメリカ版。プラスCDとは一体…!?　CDの情報は入手していないので書くことができないが、前出のDVDは既に持っているのでそれについて少し。捻りも何もないタイトルであるものの、内容は充実している。GBSのライブを堪能でき、しかもオフショットやインタビュー、PVも収録、ファンには堪らないDVD！彼らのライブは、単にアルバムの再現ではないので、まだGBSを観たことのない人にもおすすめ。ちなみにベースのDarrell Powerは、このDVD収録のツアーを以ってGBSを脱退しているため、ファンとしても貴重な記録である。また個人的には、Darrell在籍時のGBSのライブの方が好きなので、少しでも気になった人には、ぜひとも観ていただきたい！

とても満足です。楽しそうなライブですのでGBSが好きな人なら必ず気に入るはずですし、興味のある方も引き込まれると思います！
