I have had 2 $400USD Auramist Milos, 3 of their small models, and centrefugal is the best.
Auramist is complex and within a year, after shelling out $800 for two of them, neither work. And they were finicky from the start. I even installed an RO unit with large tank to have enough clean water on hand for them. They are so picky about the water cleanliness. I purchased a Soleus Air MT1-19-32, Humidibreeze Portable Misting System and it was great. But a table top fan in the end was not what I wanted. I gave it away to a friend who had more use. But the principle to me was great. Simple. I used any old water and this thing just worked. Take a fan, a small water fountain submersible pump, and a small sealed motor in front of the fan to spin a disc. Let the pump drop water on the disc and mist. As long as the pump can output water, and the disc spins...it works. No high pressure pump making noise like in my overhead Fresh Fog system. No nozzles to clean and maintain...and if you don't they drip on your guests. If someone only made a smaller fan like this. 24 and 29 inches seems to be the order of the day for centrifugal fans. I recommend it. I will admit the instructions for assembly are stupid. A wrench and screwdriver is all that is needed? Hogwash. Try needle nose pliers, right angled needle nose, etc. A.Taylor and Robert J. Liszi's comments are right on the money. Once together, great, simple, durable. But you will struggle with all the hoses inside the tube stand.

Great Product but Assembly Can Be a Bit Tricky
Once this misting fan is put together, it works perfectly. It has three speed settings and the dry mist cools down the ambient temperature quite noticeably. It is a true dry mist fan, so nothing in its path gets wet. No wet upholstery, no wet floor or deck. The construction is solid, no worries there. I think this will last a good long time. On it's highest setting, it is quite loud, enough to require raised voices for conversation. Not a big deal as it puts out a lot of air in return. The one major issue I ran into was assembly. Unless you are truly handy, be very careful with purchasing this fan. Assembly is tricky, frustrating, and time consuming as you have to work the tubing through from the fan to the base completely and there's not enough slack to do so easily. The poorly translated assembly instructions that are next to no help at all. If you're up for the challenge in getting this thing put together, it's a solid product and performs exceptionally well.

Don't do it !!
Shame on me for not heeding to the review that mentioned assembly was difficult. Thinking I could manage the assembly fairly easy was not the case. The instructions are terribly confusing and unless you an overhead hoist, it definitely take 2 people to assembly this item. In my case the small hose provided was so short, it took a pair of needle nose pliers and regular pliers, one to stretch the hose and the other to attach the the rectangular panel. Once assembled, the small hose connected to the panel leaked and the misting plate was spewing out so much water it was leaking on to the floor. In regards to the Operating Instructions at step No. 6 it states, "To start the misting function, press the misting button located on the stand pole". Wrong, the misting switch is on top of the fan head and not on the pole. Another one, at No. 7, it states, "To adjust the misting volume turn the misting switch dial near the top of the fan head". Wrong again, the misting volume switch is on the stand pole. At No. 8, it states, "To turn on the oscillation function, press the oscillation switch on the back of the fan head". There is no oscillation switch to press, but there is a screw type assembly that may be used as part of the oscillation function? And it advertises as dry cooling, bunk, I had condensation over all my patio furniture. I was so disgusted I immediately went to amazon.com, advised I wanted to return and printed my return mailing label. The product is terrible and forever thankful I purchased thru Amazon so I can return this item hassle free.

Doesn't work
Save your money. This fan doesn't put out enough water to make any difference in the temperature whatsoever. The air two feet in front of the fan is the same temperature as 2 feet behind. It moves a lot of air and makes a lot of noise but does not cool at all. I should have been more skeptical when I saw in the the product description that it can be used indoors. I am in a medium-low humidity area of the country where evaporative coolers should work well but this design is a major fail. There are no "misters" per se; just a spinning disc that throws large water droplets in front of the moving air. The droplets are too large to evaporate quickly so they simply fall back into a catch drain and flow back into the water reservoir. Next summer I'll be adding a true mister kit to the front of this loser to see if I can get it to work that way.

Works great, kinda pricey. Took the cover off the mister. Easy to put together.

Luma Comfort MF24B 24 in Commerical Misting fan
I purchased this item for a Graduation Party here at my home. We found the fan not hard to assemble, a little problem with the tubing especially at the bottom where the pump goes into the water holding tank. I think the pump is supposed to fit in a particular area of the tank but the hose would not allow it to drop down fully into place. The fan works but I am not giving it a 5 start rating because I don't believe it lowered the temperature by 20 degrees. I used this item in the yard under a canopy and did notice a precise difference when the fan was blowing in my direction. The oscillating area is adjustable from about 90 degrees downward and we had no issues with the fan in about a 5 hour use that day. Have yet to use it a second time, and if used on concrete or asphalt it may cause the surface to become slippery.

Great fan!
This fan is amazing! I am so happy with the quality. We love the soft mist on hot sunny days sitting on the patio. This would also be a great fan for people who work outside during the summer. Great Item and it shipped really fast! Thank you
