Does the job & functions as advertized
The unit was delivered in a timely manner. The case is snug-fitting, but no problems. First time use was straight-forward. The reading was relatively stable, considering it's an older diesel. I was able to accurately set my dash-tach with the help of a friend. Good product.

Quality product
Absolutely fantastic. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Worked great first time out. Functions are easy to learn, has a "measure" button - to engage the laser, a "mode" for counting the revolutions and to measure the RPM and a memory button. Quality construction, feels good in the hand, very ergonomic. Comes with battery, three strips of reflective tape and a carrying case. Would buy again.

ES 332 Non-contact Tachometer
This works reliably when using the provided reflective tape cut to 1/2 x 1/2 inch size, on a non-reflective, dark-colored small motor shaft for a movie projector. I tested it as a distance of 6 inches. It does require holding down the measurement button to obtain readings, so it's not useful for continuous hands-free measurement.

Point & shoot = awesome
This product is really great. My greatest concern when buying it was having to buy the reflective tape for it. Rest assured, they give you about 6 strips 10" or so. And the amazing thing is the thumb size piece you need to get a reading stays on the crank pulley with ease! I thought sure it would have to be replaced every time whether from dirt or being knocked off by wind but no, it's small enough to just ride along. I changed the piece recently after it was on for about 4 months and probably didn't even need to it was hardly dirty and still reflecting fine. Now as to the function of it, there's no question it's accurate just as they claim. And it's easy to use, you just point the laser and wait for the reading. Oh and the absolute coolest is the light at night, mechanics love this, without a light you can read it in the dark!

Works well.
Works great! I am using mine with several machine tools. On some of them, with shiny plated chucks, I wrapped some electrical tape around the chuck and put a piece of the reflective tape on that. Works perfectly.
