Caribsea Ocean Direct Natural Live Sand 40lb

Very nice sand. It did take one day to settle, but now things are very clear! It tools about 120 lbs of sand to replace the crushed coral in my 72 gallon bow front tank, FYI.

I like the look, but wished I went with a bigger grain. My sand keeps blowing around even when my powerheads are pointed towards the water line.

This sand is perfect for our new 150 reef. The sand is clean, and had very little debris. I don't know how alive the sand was but we were able to get the tank fully cycled with in a month time

Very fine sand. Wasn't very wet when I received it which normally I would have had a problem with except that I had some starter bacteria to use as well so in the end the price was right. I have a wrasse that loves digging in there and sleeping at night. I probably need a second bag of it but I will do that at some point. My biggest issue is because its so fine, a lot of movement on the bottom will stir up a cloud that takes a while to settle. As a matter of fact, after I first put it in, it took a few days to settle out. Since then its been pretty good and I would purchase again.

This sand is soooooo fine. Anytime I move rocks or clean tank it clouds the whole tank up for 2 days. No digging fish or else you will have a perpetually cloudy tank...
