Fantastic Hex Bar at a great price
This is the exact same model I use at Physical Therapy, which is why I chose it. The built-in stand means it is easy to load plates. They never touch the floor.I included the photo so you can see how big it is. I am 6' 1" with long legs and have no issues using this. Please note this ONLY accepts Olympic Plates, the ones with a 2" diameter hole, so you can't use your 1" plates and clips. The build quality is superb, and with a good wrench and socket it assembled in a few minutes. This is an essential tool for leg muscle building and squats.Be sure to use good form - butt out, back straight and head up - and this Hex Bar (or Trap Bar) will get the job done.

Well built, good value
I have had this bar for almost a year and it has performed perfectly. Keep in mind this is not the solid, one piece bars you may be used to in gyms and as such is not as heavy duty. I don't go extremely heavy so for my use so this bar has been perfect. It comes with rubber stops on each end to prevent the weights from being too close to your hands. I have had no issues with grip space or weight hitting my hands. The handles are smooth so grip can become a problem with heavier weight. Assembly was easy and the parts to the bar are of decent quality, no rust, but do have some sloppy welds. I wouldn't load this bar full and deadlift with uncontrolled drops but I use a barbell for that so I don't have to worry about the welds. For my use it's a good value.

Great home gym add on
I just started my garage gym and this was a great addition to it. I felt like the price was really good compared to other companies. It was easy to assemble, I think it took me a total of 20 minutes. If you do get this product the one thing you should do is get some hockey tape and wrap it around the handles for better grip. I can’t remember while writing this review what the max weight is for it. But I have dropped it plenty of times with more than 200 pounds on it with no issues. If you do drop it. I’d definitely recommend having mats underneath not to mess up your floor. I’d recommend this product to others.

I can finally deadlift
I was trying to deadlift for a while, but couldn't get to a suitable weight without hurting my lower back. I dreaded leg days.I got this hex bar because it was better priced than any other bar I found and I didn't want to be out hundreds of dollars in case I still couldn't deadlift. It works great and I was able to lift double the weight I was able to when just using a barbell. It feels empowering. The box arrived well packaged and the components weren't scratched or damaged. The welding is a bit rough, but I'm not buying equipment to win beauty contests.Assembly took me a bit because I tightened items before I had everything in place. Suggest you align and hand tighten the washers, bolts, and nuts first. Once everything is in place, then start to tighten going to each bolt one by one like tightening the lugs on a car. This will ensure the bar is aligned and sits flat on the floor.I like this hex bar. Only thing I need to figure out now it how to store it since it is large and takes up quite a bit of floor real estate.

Love the color!!
Absolutely love the bright green coloring of this hex bar! Very invigorating!! Makes you want to work out and play with it every time I walk into the gym.Hex bar itself is very stable. I really like the dual footings to keep it upright off the floor. Makes changing weight plates a breeze. Plus it also helps by setting a "squat limit". Don't get me wrong, you still get a full range of motion. Just gives you a gentle reminder by touching the ground when you go a little too far. Keeps your form honest!Squats, Bent Over Rows, Deadlifts, Shoulder Shrugs..... this is a super versatile bar! Weight posts fit both kinds of my son's 2" Olympic style weight plates. Compression collars held tight on them as well. All in all, we are very impressed! Now let's see if my young punk kid can keep up with his old man. "Load that bar up, son. It's on!"

Good Trap Bar
The bar was packaged nicely in a small box. All the hardware was there for easy assembly. It took more time to unbox all the part then it was to put the trap bar together. The bar is stable and has a weight limit of 500 lbs. for a home gym it works great for me. I would purchase again.

If you only need 500lbs it's great
It's very sturdy and I'm very satisfied. It came with good hardware but I don't think the coating will last too long, though I don't care too much. The 45 plates only sit 1 inch off the ground. I also would say if you're more then 6' or 280lbs the ring might be a bit small

It's perfect for home gyms. Well worth the money.
My original Trap Bar is an old original Al Gerard Trap Bar (he's a powerlifter from the 1980's and the original inventor of the Trap Bar. Google "Al Gerard Trap Bar" to see a picture of it). It's wide, clunky, and not free-standing, so I bought this Bar). I have had this hex Trap Bar for a few weeks now, and I am very pleased with it. I read that some people had problems assembling the bar. You will need to assemble the Bar loosely before tightening everything down. With items like this, always expects that not all holes will line up exactly perfect. I installed all of the bolts, washers, and nuts, and then tightened everything down. It's solid as a rock. The bar comes with two, thick rubber spacers (one on each side) to space the weight plate away from the handle. The spacers are about the same size and thickness as a typical chrome-plated lock collar. This still doesn't allow for enough space to easily wrap lifting straps around the handles, so I added two old lock collars I had lying around. They work perfect. I recommend this bar.
