Goya Passion Fruit Cocktail, Now 9.6 fluid ounces (284mL), by Goya.The GOYA Passion Fruit Cocktail is another one of the more popular GOYA juices. As with other GOYA juices, it is high in sugar content (46g/9.6 ounces), and it would be better for you if you diluted half of it 50/50 with cold water, and you saved the remaining half of it to dilute later. From a lifetime of drinking sodas and juices, I have become pre-diabetic, and I have to try to eliminate as much sugar from my diet as possible. Too much sugar will leave me feeling tired and sleepy. I do not know why they added the extra sugar (high fructose corn syrup) to this drink, as the passion fruit already has its own sugar. I am glad that they reduced the size of the cans to 9.6 ounces, as it reduces the amount of sugar, but it is still way too much. By comparison, a sugary 16.9 ounce bottle of Coca-Cola has 55g of sugar. Coke and other popular sodas are responsible for the rise in the number of cases of adult diabetes in this country. Children become addicted to sugar, not realizing the impact the sugar is having on their health, from rotting their teeth, to giving them diabetes. Processed foods in general contain far too much Sugar and Salt (Sodium). Consumers should read the Nutrition Facts labels on the foods that they buy, to try to minimize Sugar and Salt intake. The salt content of sausages and hotdogs varies from one brand and style to the next.
