Either mine was defective, or the design is flawed...
I ended up returning mine after two days. Let me explain why.The net material was oversized for the vertical poles that hold the gate in place... I don't mean side to side, that's easily adjustable, I mean vertically. When you install the net on the posts, you're supposed to be able to put the posts into end caps that hold the gate in place.First problem I ran into is that the net was vertically about 2.5 to 3" too tall. It hung off both top and bottom of the posts by at least 1.25" making installing the end caps pretty much an exercise in frustration. If I had ended up keeping this gate, I would have been taking an cutting tool to the top and bottom of the ends and cutting them to fit the posts. (I measured and my posts assembled were the proper lengths according to the instructions.... so I don't think the error is on my end). Once installed with the ends forced up and down on the net, it looks like a sloppy mess. I could correct that with an razorknife and a flame to seal the cuts... but why should I have to modify a product so that it can function as designed?Second reason I feel this design is seriously lacking: After installing the hard attachment points and the comically over-sized gate, it's held in place by four metal caps that slide into and out of the hard points. They don't attach to the posts at all. So every time I opened the gate to pass through, I had to move three different things because the bottom 'cup' would invariably fall to the floor. So there I'm standing holding the top 'cup', the net on the post and then I have to pick up the bottom 'cup' from where it fell. I pondered drilling holes through the end caps, tapping and running metal screws in to hold them in place, but then I realized that *I* shouldn't be the one making the design work... that the job of the maker.Either mine was wildly out of manufacturers 'spec' and wasn't completed properly in the first place.... or the design is just seriously lacking in the final touches that would take it from 'sloppy mess' to 'useful'.I bought a proper hard expandable baby-gate to keep the dogs out of that room.Don't buy this if you intend on putting it across a doorway you use frequently, or if you have smaller folks who can't step over it. Also... it would probably help if the manufacturer seriously considers improving the design.

Poor functionality for pets and children
While the idea of this is great, the function is terrible. The wrapping to change the width does not hold tightly and so sags somewhat. This allows my dog to just slide right under it. I installed it only an inch from the floor, which will give you an idea of the “give” in the cloth. I would not recommend this for anyone with a smaller dog. Also, it lifts from the mounting very easily, and the dog was able to just take it off its mounting. I would imagine a small child could open it in 30 seconds. All in all, not a great product.

Completely Ineffective
I installed this gate as directed which was easy and only took 15 minutes. Our cat walked over, looked at the gate, looked at us, and then squeezed right under the gate to the other side. Item returned.

Easy installation
I have a husky mix puppy and i have been trying to teach her not to get on our bed. That hasn't worked so i installed the fence, it was one of the easiest things I've done. It doesnt look like a cheap gate, and does its job. I like how its not just one size so if i do need to move it i can.

Works amazing
I love it its easy to set up and its safe for my animals. The only issue I had with it is my dogs are to smart. My pit who is 6months puts his nose under and lifts it up. Maybe consider putting a button on the part where the bars slide in so if the dog like mine tries to lift it they won’t be able to unlatch it.

I now have eight holes in my wall.
Once again shame on Amazon for carrying an item as bad as this. After drilling the holes for the screws and mounds first time i put the screen on the holders not only did the screen come out but so did the screws. Amazon, TAKE THIS ITEM OUT!
