Garnier Fructis Style Curl Treat Shaping Jelly with Coconut Oil for Curly Hair, 10.5 Ounce Jar

THANK GOD I found this product. I was getting ready to spend a small fortune on 8 different Devacurl products, when I started searching on Amazon instead. This product is very fairly priced, shipped quickly, and 1 jar lasts a long time! I have thick islander hair which is so heavy sometimes that I fear my waves were being weighed down. I was right, because as soon as I started using Garnier Fructis Curl Jelly, I had deep pronounced waves out of nowhere! I wash my hair every other day, so I scrunch this jelly along the bottom half of my hair right out of the shower. It dries naturally and the waves are more emphasized as the day wears on. Plus it holds the entire 2 days, despite sleeping and workouts! It smells faintly like glue if you take a big sniff of the jar, but doesn't make your hair smell that way. I do like that there is no real scent, to compete with my perfume.

Like others have said, L'Oreal if you're reading this, us curly girls have been missing this. Don't discontinue this or change the formula or anything. Larger sizes would be appreciated if its feasible. Add a pump or put it in a squeezy tube . IDK. If not that's okay. The Jelly, ITS A KEEPER. I will always buy. I like this because the application allows for volume, even after 'scrunching out the cast' with very little if any frizz. With me, with fine, dry hair there is always frizz. NOT WITH THIS PRODUCT. Great definition so I guess there is light moisture. You can feel product if used heavily though its not needed. For me there no need to refresh, just ' wake n shake'. There is no greasy 'tangled hair' feel. I can tolerate that. LOVE THIS 2/1/23: Garnier website says discontinued. WHHYYYY? On to the next. Such a shame

When using this product, I highly recommend it be used on dry to damp hair that is close to dry. To get the desired curl you want, no additional product is needed, as additional products applied to the hair before use could cause your hair to have white flakes. Only a small amount of product is needed for your curl definition/pattern to manifest itself, you can feel free to add more as needed. This product is great as a wash and go style for African American hair. On a rating scale from 1-5 with, 5 - highly recommended and 1 - don't recommend. I personally give this product a 5 based on my experience and, for the price and definition it gives. This product is on the same tier as the Miss Jessie's Coily Custard, which is one of my favorite go to hair staples, you get 2 oz more and save $10 bucks when compared to Miss Jessie's Coily Custard. This product is very light weight and does not leaves white residue when applied as recommended. WARNING!!!! If your hair is drenched in water, this product will not work, just like any other product out there. Again, I recommend applying this product on dry hair or damp hair that is close to dry.

So I have wavy/curly hair. I’ve tried I don’t know how many anti frizz and curl defining products. First off, I love the smell! I like that 98% of the ingredients are natural. Wearing my hair down it does help with frizz for a little bit but then it starts frizzing up. But if I use more I have large stiff chunks of hair and my hair looks wet. But when I use it when put my hair up it helps keep it from frizzing. I just wish it lasted longer when my hair was down.

Not a huge fan of this item it’s like a gel you put in your hair it makes it clump more than anything but doesn’t hold long for me. I’m don’t care for the scent especially since it’s something I’m smelling all day long. If you’re not careful it will make your hair look dirty and wet all day long so you have to be sparing. Does work for curly 2c hair but just be careful how much you use

I watched a You Tube video about curly hair (my hair is permed) & the woman used Garnier Fructis Style treat shaping jelly. I decided to give it a try as it was very inexpensive. Well that turned out to be the best advice I've heard in a long time!! A little goes a long way. If you want to keep your curls looking "wet" you can (it's not heavy), OR after it's dry, you can keep scrunching it for a more natural no frizz look. I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I stopped searching after I found this! Also, when I wash my hands after applying, it washes out easily & with water only.....I was pleased about that as it's so water soluble & very 'light'; with most products you have to wash your hands with soap or it won't come off (did that make sense)? One last thing, I have often wondered the age of some ladies when reading reviews, mostly to see it their situation is similar to mine. I am 61. You will not be disappointed.

Second picture is with regular leave in conditioner and curl gel. First picture is with curl cream and jelly. Absolutely love this product. I have alot of frizz. And by midday my hair is a puffy nightmare at the bottom and flat at my scalp. I get all day hold and volume with no frizz. I use Marc Anthony curl CREAM first (not the lotion) then scruch the jelly into my hair and blow dry especially at the roots for bouncy curls. Usually it is "crunchy" and wet looking at first. But i scrunch it more once it is completely dry and it softens while still holding the curl. Never flakey. You do have to find that perfect amount for your hair too little is frizzy still and too much is crunchy and wet looking. I get compliments on my hair all the time now and can finally wear it long again.

Okay so I really like this, I have semi curly wavy hair but it doesn’t always turn out that way, and I have very very long hair and it’s thin so most hair products make my hair greasy within a day, this does not, I used a little too much so it did make my ends a little crunchy but that went away the next day after sleeping with it in, I only towel dried my hair, didn’t brush it, and added about 3 or 4 pea sized globs and rubbed it into my hands and scrunched it into my hair upside down and let it hair dry and it made my hair like 5x curler then usual and I love it, I kept it off of my roots so avoid grease buildup love it though, and I did a lot of research to see if I wanted to try this or the smoothie and I definitely am happy that I got the jelly

This has a nice strong hold for my 2C/3A curls.

Si tienes el cabello rizado, delgado y con baja porosidad, este gel es para ti. Después del shampoo y el acondicionador, esto es lo único que me pongo para estilizarme mi cabello. No agrega peso y los rizos se conservan todo el día en buen estado. Si te llegase a hacer un poco de capa dura por el exceso, con haceer scrunch con las manos se suaviza el pelo. Tiene un aroma a coco muy rico, si es que te gusta este aroma.

It's so good and affordable. I use it instead of mousse as finishing product (after leave in conditioner). It helps to shape my curls, I'll buy again. Perfect for curly method, so I recommend using a leave-in conditioner of your choice and add this gel to scrunch you hair after. The scent is light and pleasant. I loved this product!
