I love textiles of any kind and was fascinated by the variety so bought this book to learn how to use them as intended. It's a great book! The directions are easy to follow with lots of information. The downside is that I now spend too much time combing Ebay and Etsy looking for good deals in vintage furoshiki and have several shibori projects in the works to make some of my own. I think the hardest part of using furoshiki to wrap gifts is forcing yourself to give up a lovely bit of textile. Review: You'll need to supply your own furoshiki. - Very helpful! I keep thinking it would be interesting to find a furoshiki with these directions already printed on it.

Excellent book
I hate buying wrapping paper; it's expensive and wasteful. Good info. Was expecting step by step how to wrap with material. Did provide many examples of what could be wrapped. I’m a beginner. A level above my ability right now. Good book to have on hand.

This book is full of good ideas and instruction for folding your own creations. This is going to help us have some fun together using our cloth.

Not a good idea for large packages.
Exactly what I needed. Lovely pictures, good ideas, clear directions. Best thing, all is reusable and no gift wrap in the landfill. Different fabrics on hand, yarn, ribbon and lace with various outdoor leaves, flowers and berries make for unique gifts. I think we like the wrapping experience more than the gift shopping.

Good photos, instructions
Very nice book, has a great variety of different wraps for different sized items and instructions are easy to follow. However, many of the wraps (i.e., 2 bottle wraps, book wraps) will need a larger size furoshiki than the 19x19 I had bought to go with the book as a gift.

In general a good introduction to furoshiki. I have the kindle edition and I wish the pictures were bigger or of better quality because they get very grainy as you try to zoom in. Some of the directions are not completely straightforward or even vague. One states "Then twist into a flower shape." as the only step. No indication as to how, just trial and error.

Beau livre très apprécié,
pour le plaisir des yeux mais aussi pour tous les conseils clairs et précis qu'il donne pour la réalisation d'emballages cadeaux sous de jolis tissus réutilisables au lieu des papiers cadeaux, le plus souvent à usage unique au détriment d'un grand nombre d'arbres transformés en pâte à papier.. Les tissus de furoshiki peuvent eux-mêmes être des cadeaux appréciés quand ils sont de qualité. Ces jolies présentations, ainsi expliquées, ne sont vraiment pas compliquées à mettre en oeuvre.
