Everybody need to read this book
I'm a very emotional person so this year I decided to work on that since I'm a student where I cannot let my emotions come to my way. Life-Changing Book for Emotional Control and Healing
I bought this book because my therapist recommended it, and honestly, it was life-changing. I’ve struggled with controlling my emotions for years, partly because my parents were very controlling and manipulative—they often told me how to feel. As an adult, that made emotional control really difficult. This book helped me so much. It’s practical, easy to read, and didn’t take long to get through. I even passed it on to my mom, and she really enjoyed it too. It helped us dig into some deep issues and start making positive changes in our relationship. Great Companion to Therapy for Personal Development
“Master Your Emotions” is the best personal development/self-help book I have read, to date. I am a highly intuitive and self-reflective person. I am also an individual who needs to understand why I am the way I am and why I do the things that I do, and I spend a lot of time on personal and psychological introspection in an attempt to become the best me possible. This book was an exceptional read, because the author began with the basics of ‘what emotions are’ and ‘what impacts your emotions’ in parts I and II, before explaining ‘how to change your emotions’ and ‘how to use your emotions to grow’ in parts III and IV. Parts I and II were essential in helping me learn how to ‘master my emotions.’ In learning what emotions are and what affects them, I was then mentally equipped to better understand how I can change my emotions and use them to become the best me possible. As I read this book I was able to spend time journaling on many of the author’s messages and how they specifically apply to my own life. The journaling I have done on the content in this book has served as a great companion to the work I do in therapy. I have been using this book to guide me in understanding my emotions and their affect on my life, and then bringing my thoughts and discoveries to my therapy sessions where my therapist helps me to further develop and understand why I’m experiencing certain emotions and how I can change them to grow as an individual. The discoveries I’ve made because of what I learned in this book have served as a monumental catalyst in my personal development. I highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to reading other titles by this author!

The books is great, the author describes what emotions are, what impacts our emotions, hot to change emotions and how to use emotions to grow. It is very easy to understand but so deep. The book explains thinks in a easy and clear way but it really helps. It is also very structured and there are questions/exercises to reflect on the topics and to improve. Just a great book. I would buy it again. I highly recommend it.

I bought this book last year. (I wrote a similar review on the audio book.) It took some months to learn to recognize things like feeling cold or warm or pain as the things that I had not been focussing on. Mislabeling these as fear and anger and such. Better processing and parsing thoughts and input from my senses and input from my environment, has gotten a lot better. Being able to carve a path successfully through the days and hopefully road ahead. I started buying and listening and reading to a lot more books. But this one is a marker for me now. Listening to the audio version today again. Bad sleep and chronic pain is stil a problem. Chronic lack of sleep is I think the main cause of psychotic symptoms where I stil take medicines for. The books starts out with the fact that there are things that are not being taught at schools and at home. So true!
