Best Budget monitor out there.
I got this monitor on June 8th , I ordered it international , i paid for fast shipping so it came in literally 3 days to where im at. I thought since people complained so much about it , i was going to receive it broken since i ordered it international , but I was wrong. I got it in perfect condition , I've been playing on it everyday ever since I got it. I love it so far. The only bad thing about it is the colors , so you have to play around with it ALOT to change it to how you like the colors , the other issue is the buttons on the back of the screen when you try changing the color settings for any settings the screen randomly turns off or the buttons stop working. I didn't find it as a big issue for me cause I knew It wouldn't be perfect , I honestly don't care about that , as long as there's no dead pixels and it works great for gaming. I would give this product 5 stars just cause of the fact that it's a really good monitor and really affordable. If you don't mind a couple struggles with the colors and buttons on the back of the screen turning off the screen when changing the settings then this will be perfect. I don' think this problem happens to everyone seems like each monitor has it's own problems. Which in the end isn't a big deal cause I still managed to get the right colors going for me. If you're still worried about this monitor I would just say go for it don't be scared. It's a really good monitor. I was searching for so long to find a good monitor and this is the one. Trust me this is the best you'll get for the price it's offering. Keep in mind that other monitors that are more expensive have issues too. No monitor is perfect each monitor has it's own problems so don't think buying a "name brand" monitor or an expensive one won't have issues. Trust me they all do just depends on what you care with and what you can't. This monitor has 0 issues when it comes to gaming and refresh rate. The smoothest monitor you can get if you ask me. It was honestly a life changing experience to go from 60hz laptop monitor to this monitor. My hp laptop monitor colors and picture is trash compared to this monitor.

Good cheap gaming monitor
I've waited a while to review this as I wanted to make sure it would hold up. This was bought for our first gaming pc. Quite pleased with it. I don't have any comparison for more expensive 144hz monitors as this is my first, but it looks great and I feel it was decent enough for the price. The stand could be bigger or a better shape. It doesn't wobble, it feels sturdy, but I'm concerned about accidently knocking it over. It feels like it is a bit too top heavy for the design of the stand. I thought for sure we had broken the screen when first setting it up because it fell over face forward on the desk as we were putting it in place. Thankfully the screen was not damaged but it would be much safer with a better stand or wall mounted. Overall it has been great for both our pc and ps4. I like that we can use the monitor with the pc plugged into the Displayport and the ps4 plugged into the hdmi and just switch back and forth without needing to unplug anything. Just a tip if you want 144hz you do need to change it in the settings. On initial setup everything was defaulted to 60hz. It seems to be a common thing to miss from what I gathered on Google so just adding it here to help.

Best entry-level 144hz budget gaming monitor
This is probably the best budget 144hz monitor out there. I'm not the most tech savy guy in the world but I do play a lot of games. This is my first time using 144hz and it is a significant difference from 60 hz. In terms of build quality, out of the box it seems great. It includes a metal stand with no height adjustment. It is also mountable on a wall using a certain vesa mount measurement. The curve on the screen is so subtle that it doesn't make a difference to me. This can be good or bad depending on your preference. To me it feels kind of nice as it seems like the monitor is enclosing around you a little bit. The monitor is tiltable fordward and backward, though not much. It even came with a magnetic screwdriver, which was a nice touch. Screen quality seems nice for the price. I haven't experienced the most premium gaming monitors or displays but this seems great. I'm sure in some cases it lacks in certain parts but for me its amazing. The monitor comes with adjustable settings that you can adjust using the buttons behind it. Nothing too crazy but includes most of the basics. It took a while for me to adjust the colors and brightness to my liking but with the help of NVIDIA Control Panel I got it. I don't know much about color accuracy or sRGB but I think you can definitely customize the display to your liking. Brightness for me isn't that much of a big deal as I actually play on a low brightness since my room is well-lit and is personally good for my eyes. I heard the brightness is quite low compared to other monitors/displays but I found it pretty bright. This comes with a VA panel and it looks great. The viewing angles are okay nothing too crazy but good enough. Performance is great. The 144hz feels very smooth. You can even go 120hz if you prefer that more using the HDMI 1.4 Port or by changing your display settings. The monitor comes with a display port cable and you can use display port or HDMI 2.0 to get 144hz. 3 ms response rate feels fast enough. Well I can't really notice but I had no trouble while gaming. The monitor even has an overdrive mode and in some copies of the monitor you can even run 165hz. I was able to do this and it was working fine, though I just prefer 144hz. Monitor design is sleek and simple. The bezels are thin and it looks great. The stand feels sturdy and doesn't wobble. There isn't any USB ports but there is an audio jack, HDMI 1.4 120hz, HDMI 2.0 144hz, and a display port. The power brick it comes with is a simple wall wart. Overall, if you are looking to start gaming on 144hz. This is probably the best budget gaming monitor you can find.

Great entry-level gaming monitor
Overall, I am impressed with this monitor. I have had Sceptre products in the past before and they are budget friendly and you get what you pay for. With that being said though you get the bang for your buck minus some compromises as with any purchase you make. ---Pros: Going from a 60hz to 144hz monitor is a night and day difference when playing games. AMD FreeSync works well. Colors can take some adjusting right out of the box, but in my opinion that is a compromise of what you pay for. Great options for inputs. You have a DisplayPort input in the back along with two HDMI ports. You can achieve 144mhz on HDMI, but you must have a later model HDMI cable and you have to plug it in the one labled 144mhz. Built-in speakers, but don't expect to get blown away with the sound. Not worth taking a star away because that is to be expected at the price point. ---Cons: Like another viewer has mentioned I did notice that the monitor may black out. I had two of these monitors and one of them would randomly black on and off and made me restart my system. However, after use I haven't seen the issue return. The other monitor never showed the symptoms so I guess it will be hit and miss. The monitor is not true edge to edge. I didn't notice it until a few days after use, but lose about a 1/4" between the image displayed and the plastic. If you are into your game you will not notice, but it is noticeable once you are aware of it. Personally, if you advertise "edge-less" truly make it that way. --Overall: I would definitely recommend this monitor. If you are just getting into gaming, or on a budget this is one to get so that you won't break the bank with your purchase. Also, from my experience Sceptre products are pretty good and will last as long as you take care of them. Don't hesitate on this one! Quick note to Amazon: Great customer service on resolving issues. The first monitor I received was left outside my door and was rained on. Moisture did get inside of the box, but the monitor worked. I wasn't comfortable with keeping it so I contacted Amazon and they worked with me in resolving the issue without any hassle. Kudos to Amazon customer service!

Easy to set up for 144hz
I bought this for a new PC I was building. I was worried with some of the reviews I had read, but was very pleasantly surprised. Those who say this display is only 60hz simply don't know what they are talking about. It comes set to 60hz, but in windows display setting this can be quickly switched to 144 hz. It's easy, and the difference is very noticeable. This desplay DOES come with a display port that works (I believe using HDMI will only get you 120 hz, so if a review says that, then they likely are using HDMI) The freesync tech works amazing, and I easily set all my games to max out at 144 hz. My GPU will only output this high, and no tearing occurs. It looks amazing. The curve is more subtle than I expected, and it actually works really well for a 24" monitor. To all those who say their device comes with broken pixels or maybe a line down the middle, I did not experience this. However, if you are careful with the monitor when mounting it (skrewing in base), I honestly believe this would rarely happen. Don't push down on the screen when it is on its face. The curve would cause stress on the screen. All in all this is a cheaper 144 hz monitor, and I believe you get a little more than you pay for.

Greatest value for a 144Hz monitor!
I bought one initially and then bought two more a few weeks later to complete my setup. This monitor IS G-Sync compatible via the AMD FreeSync setting with my RTX 2060 (you have to turn on FreeSync in the monitor menu). The color settings out of the box seem a little greyed out, but shouldn't be a big deal for anybody that isn't pursuing color accuracy. The curve isn't very noticeable when looking straight on. One of my monitors had a cosmetic flaw out of the box on the very edge of the screen so the backlight bleeds through the edge the top a little bit, also not a big deal. There is a DisplayPort, two HDMIs (and their refresh rates are different), and an audio out port. It also comes with it's one 6' DisplayPort cable and stand mounts, but is also (as evidence from photo) VESA mount compatible using the smaller 75mm option. The only real complaint I have is the size of the power bricks you plug in. It is almost impossible to plug two in side by side (vertically and horizontally). The brick WILL block the ground plug of the adjacent wall plug. Overall this is a great screen for anyone looking for performance on a budget!

Perfect right out of the box
I bought 2 of these and I was really worried after reading some of the reviews. I watched tons and tons of videos on Youtube and read lots of stuff prior to buying (Like I always do). I had actually responded to a review on this monitor where someone mentioned the dead pixel policy Spectre has. After reading that review I basically closed this page and looked elsewhere. The thing I found out is almost every single monitor company out there has the same exact dead pixel policy (Which in my opinion is complete trash). I own 3 other Spectre monitors. A 19" I bought years and years ago which is still working fine and 2x24" GTG monitors which 1 of them had 3 dead pixels and both have died after a few years of use. So I kinda had expectations that my chances were pretty high at least one of the 2 was going to have at least one dead pixel. Nope, neither of them have dead pixels. The colors and everything were great straight out of the box. I am very happy with them thus far. Lets just hope they last a long time unlike the other 2 24" I got from Sceptre years ago. Update: 1 of the 2 monitors occasionally has an issue where a streak of color will go across it and completely freeze up. Fixable by unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in. Its happened a total of 4 times since I purchased on. Jan 24, 2020 and today is April 3, 2020. The other monitor has not has any issues. Update: Dec 17 2024. The streaks of color got so bad and wouldn't show display at all anymore. Turns out the port on the graphics card was slowly going out. Swapped to the 3rd display port on video card and the monitors haven't done it since. (Tried replacing the display port cords first). Not that this update is worth anything as I dont think these are sold anymore but... maybe it will help someone in some way.

Really good monitor for the price (cheaper when I bought it!)
TLDR: Good monitor for when I bought it ($154.99), good for gaming and daily use. Colors a bit washed and brightness a bit dim. . . . I bought this monitor back in August of 2019. At the time, it was $154.99. It was my first big monitor I bought right before I went off to college. I had bought a whole new computer because I wanted it to be fresh for college so that the chances of me having any technical issues would be small. It definitely does not disappoint! It took me a bit to get used to the curved screen, but I still really liked it. I will say that the colors are a bit washed out and the brightness is a bit dim, but those weren't really issues for me because I prefer dimmer monitors. I currently own 2 Sceptre monitors, however, the second one in the picture has been replaced by a TV for the moment because my power cable for this monitor doesn't work anymore. So I used my second monitor's power cable in the meantime. Other than that, my experiences with Sceptre have been great :D
