2 weeks later than the delivery date, it is not reliable at ALL. It makes a lot of mistakes. DO NOT TRUST THE MACHINE. You might buy a Moissanite instead of a diamond.

The GemOro UltraTester 3+ works well for testing natural diamonds, moissanite, and white sapphires with precision. However, I’ve noticed it struggles with lab-made diamonds, consistently showing them as moissanite. While it's a reliable tool for natural stones, keep in mind that it might not provide accurate readings for lab-grown gems. Overall, it’s useful but limited in this regard.

I replaced an outdated diamond tester with this and I love it!! You need to read and follow the instructions carefully before you start. It takes a little practice to hold/use the tester correctly to get an accurate reading. It becomes easy and fun to use once you get the hang of it. Other testers I have tried before detected moissanites as diamonds. I picked this Gemoro tester for its reliability in distinguishing the two.

Had several of these all did well except last one is a disaster...wont work correctly. Junk out of Box.

Got the GemOro Ultra Tester II on time as promised. The tester works OK, but the tip cone indicator does not work. Sound and LED display is OK, so the main functions are intact. It is easy to use and carrying case is fine. No response from their customer service on the cone indicator issue. In my experience, OK product but quality control could be better.
