Why did you pick this product vs others?:This stuff works great and is almost 40% cheaper than the store brands.

27’ round 52” deep above ground pool. Many years ago we used algaecide and always had algae no matter what. We take samples to local pool store weekly during season. Finally figured out 10 years ago that the phosphates from farmers was causing the algae growth. Once we tried this we never used algaecide again. This stuff is miraculous. No green, no algae, clear and soft, and we only add 2 caps per week. Amazing!

Quality product at a reasonable price

Does what it says. Algae doesn't take off so easily. However, I thought this would be like the "weekly" liquid had before that you can add each weak without backwashing, but you have to: (1) add a considerable quantity, (2) run your pump for 48 hrs, and (3) backwash. Major pain compared to the weekly stuff. That said, it is effective.
