I tried the SodaStream Diet Dr Pete Beverage Mix out of curiosity, and it’s actually a pretty enjoyable substitute for traditional diet soda. The flavor is clearly inspired by Dr Pepper, with that familiar blend of sweet, slightly spicy notes, though it’s a bit lighter and not quite as bold as the original. That said, once you find the right mix ratio, it tastes really good—especially if you like your soda a little less syrupy. I also appreciate being able to control the carbonation level, which makes it feel more customizable than store-bought soda. Another big plus is the value. One bottle of syrup goes a long way, and it ends up being more cost-effective than buying cans or bottles regularly. It’s also nice cutting down on plastic waste, which makes this feel like a more eco-friendly option. Overall, if you enjoy Dr Pepper but want a more customizable and budget-conscious alternative, Diet Dr Pete is definitely worth trying.

I tried the Sodastream regular Dr Pete mix before trying this diet one, and they're identical to me in taste, and much easier to pour thanks to it not having any sticky sugary stuff in the mix. Tastes great to me, the price for a 4 pack of this stuff is great, and I could not recommend this more if you like Dr.Pepper. (pro tip, add a little zero sugar vanilla, it makes it closer to the real thing) It contains the same amount of caffeine as the regular, does not contain aspertame, and is artificially sweetened using sucralose. I'm not a physician or health expert by any means, but if you're switching to diet due to health concerns, I would advise you do some research on sucralose and the possible effects it has on your gut biome. I personally take pre/probiotics to be on the safe side, something to consider, always do your own research. I'm not a dentist or dental expert by any means, but if you're switching to diet due to dental concerns, I would advise you do some research on acidic drinks, especially with C02, regardless of diet or not. I personally use a titanium straw as it doesn't affect taste, and like any other reusable straw it reduces the contact your acidic bubbly beverages will have on your teeth - again always do your own research.

For taste and general convenience, I love Diet Dr Pete. I was buying Diet Dr Pepper in bottles from the grocery store, but it's an hour to the store and I don't make special trips for _soda_ so when I would run out I was sad to go without for an unknown number of weeks. Then I also had loads of recycling to bring for drop-off (in the mountains we don't have driveway service). Enter: my carbonator (not a SodaStream) and SodaStream Diet Dr Pete. I don't think it tastes the same as Diet Dr Pepper, but it's pretty good. I use about half as much as the directions call for and it's still plenty sweet. I save so much recycling space. I was buying these in person at the store, but even on the store shelves this product was often leaking and if it wasn't leaking on the shelf it would be leaking by the time I got home. So I decided I might as well save the shopping stop and order for delivery. It leaks somewhat more--every time--but from the store or mail the bottles are a hot mess and the concentrate drips all over. If a person has white countertops I'd advise using a cookie sheet under the bottle for the initial opening and first several pours. My counters are dark so I can't tell if it would stain but it stains clothes and hands. I take off the entire label and rinse the bottle (while closed, of course) so it doesn't make a mess in my cabinet. The bottle's measuring design is just terrible on the Diet Dr Pete. For reasons I cannot explain, Wild Cherry Pepsi Diet does not leak even shipped. I wish all the bottles were _those_ ones because they are much better.

Nice flavor for Sodastream. I like being able.to order 4 at a time. They don't run out so fast.
