My husband and I got this tourniquet for our first aid box. We live in the mountains and he sometimes works on our property with a chainsaw, etc. It's just a good idea to have something like this on hand for safety reasons. I've attached a video of the tourniquet being applied. You can't really tell by the video, but it definitely was working. :-)The great thing about it is that it is big enough to go around even a very large person's leg, and it's designed for one-handed use. You can see that in the video.My husband has rescue and first aid training (probably one level below an EMT) and he believes this to be a well-made and decent tourniquet. He says it's not the very best he's seen ( he's seen ones designed for professional use), but believes it's totally adequate to do the job and that it's of good quality. We both think it's a great addition to our first aid kit!All-in-all, I'd definitely purchase this tourniquet again. Hopefully we'll never have to use it, but it's a bit of peace of mind having it on hand!

Great quality and easy to use in an emergency. I got this for my first aid kit for my scout troop and our backpacking and outdoor adventures. Great addition to the kit and hopefully I need face an emergency where I need this but I'm glad to be prepared with this well made tourniquet.

So easy to use. Would be good for a first aid kit, especially for someone with a lack or formal training. Great addition to my emergency supplies for a good price.

I got this to keep in my boyfriends truck. He works construction and is a bit accident prone. I hope he never has to use this but I am comforted knowing he has it. It is a simple one handed operation. The materials are great and it is put together well.

But when/if I do, I'll be glad I bought one. Added a Sharpie to the kit so I can write down the start time for applying this, recommend you do the same.
