My grandmother moved in with us due to being diagnosed with Dementia and already having had several T.I.A.'s. Her Dementia has caused her to be very forgetful and EXTREMELY FIESTA which she was normally EXTREMELY MELLOW. So having moved in with us she was given a bell to ring if she needed anything. Especially for while she was in bed to help her get out of bed she'd ring the bell and I'd go assist her to the potty. Well one night she decided not to ring her bell and got up on her own. She ended up falling and breaking 2 fingers and slicing her ear open 2&1/2 inches getting 5 stitches in it. So I put a carpet in her room (originally had hard wood floors) and buying the mat to keep her from hurting herself again. So far so good especially since I got rid of bell and bought a video monitor to watch her. And allow her to just talk to me through the monitor if she had to potty.

This product is great for seniors that may fall out of bed!

While my dad was in hospice, he had a tendency to climb out of bed. I am thankful that he didn’t injure himself during his final days. The padding was sufficient in avoiding any fractures.

This product is light weight and has a good length for a bed side mat. I purchased this mat for my grandmother who had fallen off her bed and fractured her pelvis. I like that it folds easily and can be stored under her bed unnoticeably. The downside is that the cushion is not as thick as I would have preferred, hence the light weight.

Really soft and thick to protect 1 year from falling onto hard surface. We have an area below our stair gate that she can still climb onto and this is very effective in protecting her from the hard floors.

I bought this to protect me if I fall out of bed...again! seems soft enough

We needed a portable mat to put near my sister's bed to prevent any injuries from her rolling out of bed at night. This mat fills our need perfectly. Every morning it can be easily folded and put out of the way.

We are using this beside my mom's bed. She hasn't fallen since coming home (since we are also using a bed alarm), but it gives us a lot of peace of mind that there is a thick and soft pad covering the floor that may help prevent/reduce injuries due to falls.

Good mat. Only reason for 4 stars is seems a bit overpriced for essentially a gym mat. I’m happy with the purchase nontheless.
