Cashmere Comb | Sweater Comb - Removes Pills & Fuzz from Clothing

I had this wonderful grey sweater (in pics above) for close to 10 years and I took terrible care of it. The arm close up is how the entire sweater looked - as I was cleaning out my closet I thought about donating it, but felt bad donating something so ratty looking, so I've held on to it for wearing around the house recently I've started investing in more high end cashmere pieces and got all the things (including this comb) to avoid what happened to my grey wool sweater. Out of curiosity I gave it a try on the sweater and I'm shocked at how well it worked! You can see in the one pic how much I pulled off - and that was only a small portion. The sweater isn't perfect, and it took so so long to do everything, but the comb is fantastic. There might be better options for large areas, I noticed I had to do one sweep and pull the wool instead of it gathering over a few passes, but I'm positive this was not meant for that kind of rehab. Overall, works amazing, use a gentle hand, take your time, it will keep those sweaters in rotation!

Efficient when used carefully but takes time to remove lint or pilling. Still it’s convenient, I can carry it in my purse if need be, and I would buy it again!

I finally bought a couple cashmere sweaters. While I knew they would pill, I figured my shaver would rake care if it.My shaver works great, but I wanted something more travel friendly. I found this and it works really well. It takes up virtually no room in my purse or backpack, and with it stored in the included pouch, it doesn't get caught on anything else.Really a nice little extra. Could I get by without it? Sure. Do I want to? Not after trying it.

Be aware that this is very small. I've already misplaced it and it arrived two days ago. LOLIt's going to take a long time the first time around with your cashmere. But after that, you can use the comb for quick touchups.

I learned that an electric trimmer ruins your clothing fabric. This tool works great and it doesn’t ruin your clothes. It’s definitely a must if you have sweaters that get fuzzy. I even used it on the thigh area of my son’s sweatpants, and it took the rough areas off with ease. This is definitely a must for your sewing kit.

1. Does it work?Yes. I tried it on a thick knit sweater and a cashmere sweatsuit set. This comb easily removed all the pills.2. Is it harsh/harmful to delicate fabric?It could be. I used a very light hand. It still removed the pills effectively and kept the pulling and tugging on the delicate fabric to a minimum. On the thicker knit, I had to press more firmly but that was ok for the type of fabric. So, the more delicate, the less firmly you'll have the press, the like likely to pull or warp it.3. Value for moneyI'm adding this final piece because the moment my fiance saw it, he laughed and asked how much it was. Then he said it was drywall sandpaper. If this ever wears out, we'll try taking the old sandpaper out and slide in a new piece. That said, it should last quite a while.I personally prefer having this handy tool rather than wielding a piece of sandpaper, but if you want to try something cheaper, fold some sandpaper.Overall, it's a handy tool that works for heavier knits and even more delicate fabrics like cashmere. I like the bag it comes in, so I can keep it in the clothes drawer without worrying about it snagging or catching. Happy customer.

A great product, have used successfully on both delicate and sturdier woollens. It takes patience and time but is well worth the result.

Great comb. Didn't want to buy an electric shaver as I adore my wool/cashmere sweaters. This was perfect for a manual shave and looks like new now.
