This seems to be a decent item for the price. I'm not using it for animals, however -- at least not directly. I put it on my patio with plants inside to keep the squirrels from digging in the pots! Because this isn't designed for outside use (I assume) it will likely rust, but for now is serving the purpose. My only real objection is that the company obviously has a sense of humor -- the assembly instructions were INSIDE the crate! Luckily, it wasn't too hard to figure out, but if you're the least bit challenged you might want to think about that detail. LOL.

This is way bigger than I expected. I’ll update once I put my 2 1/2 year old pit bull in it. He full of energy so we will see if it can stand Cash Money trying to get out..Well cash got out I was really hoping this held him in so I didn’t have to put him outside when I go anywhere. But my husband is going to build off of it so he can have house outside when we gone. So I had to take stars away. Just cause he broke out. It needs to be thicker.

I was looking for a heavy duty crate as my Baby, Bear is less than 2 years old and has already busted thru 2 crates. It arrived right on time, was easy to pop open and set up. But I felt like it wasnt any thicker/stronger than what I already had! One night (less than 7 hours) and Bear had already broken a bar.

My dog was able to push the bottom until the wire on the door bent. She is an eight month old Labrador.

I like the size of this crate. If it were a thicker gauge wire, it’d be a great deal better. If I wanted to confine a destructive dog, the wire on this crate would be bent in short order. Five days after I wrote the above, my dog did indeed bend the wires near the latches such that several wires had to be removed for safety sake. I just ordered a crate by Precision in hopes it will be of better quality.

We have 5 dogs, and they all seem to get thru the "black" cages. We have another one of these for our Irish Wolfhound, and this one was for our Pitbull. We have had no issues with any of the metal bending, and is good and strong. Highly recommend this cage.

I have a six year old Springier Spaniel mix that has never had a probably with crates. She was in this crate for less then two hours and bent three of the wires. Luckily my husband forgot something at home and had to return. When he did he found three wires bent and two of them close to poking her in the eye. This is defiantly an unsafe crate and would not recommend anyone to purchase this item. My dog almost lost her eye. I'm lucky my husband came home when he did or it could have been worse. I hate that I spent so much money on two of them. Please don't throw your money away like I did.

The door is a little stif and doesn’t swing easily
