Creative Felting Paperback – January 1, 2008

Beautiful up close images with great fiber ideas, but instructions are too brief and spotty and could not be understood by beginners. Inpiring for advanced felters, but new felters would be lost because the book lacks comprehensive photos (only close ups) and the written felting instructions leave out at least 50% of the actual felting process. The only thing I got out of this book were ideas to try new fibers, but having only close-up photos was so irritating, that I would not recommend this book. Nice to look at, but not helpful to most felters.

I was both inspired and dissapointed with this book. Even though at the beggining of the book there are felting instructions, you won't find any project ideas at all. Every sample is simply flat felt with interesting texture on it. They are beautiful, but to tell you the truth I wouldn't have bought that book if I knew.

the book was not at all what I expected. It id definitely not a book to purchase if you are looking for basic projects and directions for making them. Pictures are gorgeous but the book is a bit too eclectic for the basic felter. I would not have purchased it had I had the opportunity to first review it but that is the perspective of a "crafting" felter not an artiste.

This is another book good to get the senses ticking. Many ideas to do and soon your brain will think of their own. But if you are a beginner like I was this will give you the want to try it for yourself and go on. I have shared with my felting buddies and tell them where I got it at Amazon of course. CrazyLady

Yet another book for when I want to day dream

This book has a lot of good information for the beginner. The pictures are beautiful

Nice photos, not enough information, waste of money for me

When the book came I had great expectations but I was a bit disappointed. Not very inspiring to me, but I already have a lot of books about the subject.

Another top book for my crafty mother

The author has included some very lovely photos, but the actual instructions for each photo sample are very limited. I also found that while the "macro" shots were pretty, a photo of the whole piece would have been helpful and would have put the macro shots into perspective. I probably won't be using this book very much.

Das Buch ist optisch sehr schön, aber es fehlen konkrete Beschreibungen für Filzprojete. Es geht mehr um farbliche Zusammenstellungen - was man daraus macht, bleibt der eigenen Kreativitä überlassen. Muß man nicht haben.

Verschiedene Filztechniken und deren Verwendung werden vorgestellt. Kein Schritt für Schritt-Anleitungsbuch, aber viele schöne Ideen. Beeindruckend sind die Farbkombinationen, meistens der Natur nachempfunden.
