Hearing the sounds from the Switch works well however, in order to use chat (like in Fortnite), you need to use the extra microphone (included) that plugs into the headphone jack of the Switch. It will NOT use the internal microphone of your Bluetooth headphones. This should be fine if you are using the Switch in handheld mode (i.e. close to you) but it might be problematic when in docked mode (i.e. when you are on the couch using a large screen TV and are far from the docked Switch). Unfortunately, I do not believe any of the Bluetooth adapter for the Switch allows the use of the internal mics of Bluetooth headphones.

I use this product for its intended use on my switch I did not want to have to carry a set of wired head phones when I already had my air-pods. this works straight out of the box and works for both the handheld console and the dock just use the included USB stick and plug and play. each color side can attach a set of Bluetooth head phones in stereo so you can have two users connected at the same time. I have told every one I know with a switch about these. I also found out you can use them on your computer Plug and Play as well. this is a great addition to your switch allowing you to connect your bluetooth headphones with out any bulk.

EDIT 10/21/2020: I am increasing my rating to 5 stars. While initially the Homespot would not work with my Cowin SE7 headphones directly, the seller not only gave me a full refund, but worked diligently to correct the issue with firmware updates. They sent me two, the first didn't work, but the second solved the problem!Not only did these guys provide top notch customer service, they stand by their product 100%. The quality of customer service they provided to provide a product that is usable is the best customer service I have received in years!Maybe other companies will take your quality service as an example. It came highly rated from several online reviews, so I took the plunge and ordered one and a set of wireless headphones. The Cowin SE7 wireless headphones do not work 100% with this. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars on some categories. When I contacted customer service they responded within 24 hours and worked hard to reproduce the problem I am having. When they were able to reproduce the problem as well as perform other tests they were able to determine the Cowin SE7 headphones have the same results whether it is mine or theirs.The problem I have been facing:The SE7 headphones will connect but receive no audio until the second channel on the Homespot is connected to another Bluetooth device. Upon further tests it was discovered that the other Bluetooth devices could connect and receive audio without the second channel needing to be connected.So, while it works with the SE7, it takes a few extra steps to get them to fully operate. These steps are required each time if you want to use your SE7 headphones. Homespot customer service are working on a fix and will let me know when it has been done.Bottom line, this is a great, small profile, portable product and, while it works, it may not work with your Bluetooth device. So far, the SE7 is the only device that I have that it will not work correctly with. The customer service has been top-notch and provided a full refund until they find a fix.

First let me say how much I hate that Nintendo doesn't have built in bluetooth for the Switch. But you already know that cause you are reading reviews on this item.This is an absolute must have. The biggest problem I have is connecting headphones for the first time. It can take upwards of 4 attempts with both devices in search mode before it finally connects.Once connected, I do not notice any delay. There might be a delay of milliseconds but I have yet to notice. It has not affected my gameplay in any way.Bought these for myself and my brother-in-law. I'd absolutely buy this again too.

This is an awesome little adapter. I use it with my portable Anker speaker and get high quality, loud sound. Most importantly the synch is never a problem and I haven't noticed any real latency. I haven't lost a fish yet in Animal Crossing and I use the sound cues to catch. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Very pleased with the product came in a cute small box and worked right out of the box and paired easily to raycons performer and tzumi wireless earbuds.Mic will not work without wireless headphones or earbuds connected, if you are buying this for the mic steer clear unless you want headphone or eaebud forced on top of the mic.

I ordered this and was excited to open the box and set up the device. Ends up what's in the box is not what you order. I returned it and just received the new one. It has the something in it not what is in the description or in the pictures. It is a fire stick not the blue tooth adapter u think you are ordering.

The first adapter I received wasn't working properly but after a bit of back and forth troubleshooting with HomeSpot's customer service over email, they were very kind enough to send me a replacement that works very well. I'm using it with my Beats Solo 3 which do not support aptx but I have found no noticeable lag in the sound for me and really love how small the adapter is. It almost looks first party too.Edit: It's been almost a year since I got it and it still works PERFECTLY. The one I have is older than the one sold now which has a built in mic unlike mine which came with a mic that plugs into the headphone jack (I couldn't care less though cause I don't do voice chat in video games). I have had so many people (friends and complete strangers) ask me what it was and I am so happy to tell them, I almost feel like I should be paid for the advertising haha$I haven't seen a better bluetooth adapter for the switch and again, HomeSpot was very nice to me getting a replacement when the first one I received didn't work. (You guys are so quick to put negative reviews before even trying to get them to fix the issues for you! Some things arrive defective! It happens!) The absolute only downside is you can't charge while using it so once that battery's out, no more sound for you, honey.

Works exactly the way I need it to with my apple air pods and it connects within a few seconds of pairing. The sound quality is perfect considering I am only using this with air pods. The buttons on the unit feel somewhat flimsy and shake slightly on movement but that is only a minor issue. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone with a switch though I do think it's weird that the switch didn't have built-in bluetooth functionality but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Was playing Mario and the Immortal Fenyx Rising. Not enough to make me mad but I could notice.Sound is clear and loud. Happy and would but again.

Little bit of latency (I use Plantronics backbeat pro2) still a great product so far.
