This was brilliant ! I had to stay overnight at a Travel lodge on my own and wanted to feel safe and secure. This piece of kit was a fantastic well made quality tool.It worked perfectly on the door & kept it locked, also easy to remove in case of a fire.Excellent price for peace of mind and super fast delivery.Highly recommended especially for women who travel alone

I used this on a trip abroad at a hotel as I wanted to feel secure as a solo female traveller. It worked well, there were no issues with it. I like that it came with a case.

Ease of use, durable and it won't damage the door.

So, for some doors this is useful. its a bit fiddly to set up at times and occasionally I've been nervous that it might damage the hinges (as depending on how the top of the door sits along with the rubber wedge at the top you sometimes have to hoist it up quite far before it is a tight fit and doing so lifts the door up). It doesn't work for all doors - it won't work if there is a draft excluder at the bottom, thick carpet, or if the top of the door is fitted further out from the frame. It has worked on more than half of doors I've tried it on and I'll continue to take it on holiday with me. I don't think it would stop someone breaking in but I feel like it would prove some resistance and happy that it would slow down and make enough noise pushing against it (plus a chair i usually put in front of the door) that I'd hear it.I was concerned in an emergency it would be fiddly to remove but it's been okay for me - but this might be an issue if you had mobility issues reaching to the ground or had impared finger dexterity. Similarly dexterity is needed in setting it up.This is the third temporary (/hotel) door security I've tried and the best of the three types: one was one that fits over the lock on the side of the door before shutting it and this was pretty useless in the UK on the various doors I tried and I returned it. The other was a wedge that fit under the door and would in theory set off an alarm if the door opened and pressed into it - for most doors there either wasn't enough room to fit it under OR it would just get pushed away and not trigger.So this one is the one - the red product on this page - is the one I have kept and actually continued to take on trips.

Ordered this having seen it shown on TV, absolutely impressive 👏 I went on a solo trip using this for my Hotel room it made me feel safe & secure where I could relax which is fantastic for a single female!

Seems to work fine, worth £25 for the peace of mind after a recent report of illegal entry into a woman's hotel room. Tested on our wood floor, the emergency release works well too. However, the instruction booklet is wrong. It says turn to the left, ie anti-clockwise, to tighten & to the right, clockwise, to loosen when in fact you need to do the opposite, clockwise to tighten, anti-clockwise, to release.

I initially found this product appealing; however, upon continued use, several flaws have become apparent.1. Stability Issues - When tightening the device against the door or floor, it tends to skew to the left, which affects stability. Even with my thumb positioned in the center for support, the left side pushes in while the right side pulls out. An increase in width at both the top and bottom would enhance stability.2. Slip Resistance - The grip on the underside of the device is insufficient for many slippery floor types. When tightened, it tends to slide, even with the additional attachment. Incorporating a material with a more textured, sticky surface would be beneficial.3. Joint Flexibility - Over time, the small arm of the device has gradually shifted to the left, likely due to the pressure applied during tightening. This suggests that the arm requires a stronger joint, as the existing hinges exhibit excessive play. A more rigid connection would improve performance.4. Screw Performance - The screw mechanism becomes increasingly stiff and sticky with use, indicating potential manufacturing inconsistencies in the threading. Initially functional, it has degraded to a point where it's more difficult to operate than at first.While this device is compact and convenient for travel, there's considerable potential for improvement. Enhancements such as a thicker pin, a stronger arm, a tighter joint on the arm, wider dimensions, and additional components tailored for various floor types would significantly elevate its effectiveness.On a positive note, the rubber pieces designed for the head of the door effectively compress the door into the outer frame, provided a solid grip is achieved on the floor.Overall, this product has room for simple significant enhancements.Well worth a new revision!

A must for the travelling single female gave my daughter an extra protection when staying alone on her travels. Easy to set up on various doorways and floors. A good quality security device

Nachdem ein normaler Türkeil schon den Test zuhause nicht bestand, bestellte ich den Doorjammer . Dieser kam mittlerweile in mindestens 20 Hotels zum Einsatz. Mein Fazit: genial, der kommt in jeden Urlaub mit.+ leichtes Gewicht+ schnell zu montieren und zu entfernen+ die Unterleggummiteile zum Höhenausgleich sind sehr sinnvoll+ die Hotelzimmertür ist bombig zu (testweise schwunghaft mit ganzem Körper von außen gegen die Tür gedrückt)+ für jeden Fußboden geeignet (Holz, Fliesen, Vinyl, verklebter Teppich, Beton)+ gut zu desinfizieren+ passt der Doorjammer nicht in Höhe der Drückergarnitur unter das Türblatt, kann man ihn auch mittig installieren, hält die Tür dann immer noch gut zu+ der Aufbewahrungsbeutel ist praktisch- in bislang nur einem Hotel konnte ich ihn nicht unter die Tür schieben, da Türschwelle und Türblatt gekantent waren

This product is great and works exactly as it should. I have high gloss tiles and have no problem with it sliding along the tiles if someone is trying to open the door on the other side. It adheres well to my tiles and doesn’t move at all, thereby preventing entry by someone.

Perfect for safety for solo women travellers. Insert this and feel safe, whenever u are travelling alone, especially in hotel rooms that don’t have additional chain locks.
