A Right Coil Garden Hose
My old garden hose finally gave out. It was time to replace it for a new one. Not wanting to get a standard water hose from Home Depot or Walmart, I was looking for something different like a coil hose. While doing some research online, a company named Water Right is known for top quality garden hose. Based on that, I decided to get the 50-Foot coil garden hose. Here are the reasons why. The outdoor temp. can be extreme sometimes. The reason I bought this hose is the quality of it. It’s engineered and made to withstand the cold and hot environment daily and face any weather conditions. I purchased this back in March of 2014. It’s constantly facing the sun with no shade. If you were to look at the hose today, amazingly it still looks new. I see no cracks. It's solid like a rock. The second reason is the weight of this garden hose. Unlike others that are heavy and thick, this one is very flexible and light. About 3.4 pounds, having a coil garden hose is so much easier to put back when done watering. Water Right did a great job in designing it to prevent any sort of hose kinks. This means no more fighting to tangled or untangled hoses. Amen. I decided on the color Olive Green. The color kind of matches the outdoor environment. I find it was easy to install. Turning it of and on, the water flow shoots great with good amount of water pressure. The only negative thing about this product is the price. For some, it’s a little pricey to spending over $45.00 for a garden hose. If your on a tight budget and don’t want to spend too much, you may want to look elsewhere. Other than that I ‘m very happy with this product. Water Right made a great garden hose. I would definitely buy another one.

The ONLY coil hose that doesn't leak!
The dark green is a beautiful color, but I wish it was available in dark blue as that is the color of my front door, close to where the hose is kept. It also seems like it'd be a more in-demand color than purple and a better alternative to having two different shades of green, but that's just my opinion. The truth is, I'd buy it all over again even if it was hot pink with polka dots, because this is the last in a long list of coil hoses I've tried and every single one has leaked except for this one! I suspect it's because this hose has sturdy, high-quality connections where most others don't. It's a little more expensive than others, but absolutely worth it for the quality. It's also less expensive than buying multiple coil hoses that don't work before buying this one ;) The hose itself is also a bit thicker and stronger than the other coil hoses I've tried, and just overall seems to be of much higher quality. Definitely recommend!

Twelve years and going strong in the worst conditions, direct sun and salt water. Made in USA.
Bought two of these 12 years ago. They have outlived many hose end sprayers. Finally. the metal sprayer end rusted to the metal hose fitting wrecking the hose. No fault of the hose. The hose and the metal fittings are within five feet of seawater and in the full, un-shaded Florida sun. The look a little weathered after 12 years, but are still fine. We went through a lot of coiled hoses before we bought these. These American-made hoses are the best yet.

Buy 2 to Get The Length You Need
This really is an excellent hose. It is well-made of quality materials, and I like the fact that it is drinking-water-safe. The connections at both ends are quite solid and do not leak at all (I use this hose with the Dramm 12380 Heavy-Duty Brass Adjustable Hose Nozzle at one end, and the Gilmour 13 Brass 2-Way Connector at the other). It is sturdy, DOES NOT KINK AT ALL, and recoils neatly to original size after use. I would have given it 5+ stars, except, as others have noted, it does NOT stretch fully to the advertised length. I bought the 50-foot version, and it stretches to perhaps 35 feet or so, when I use considerable force to extend and hold it. There is no way I could extend it, lay it on the ground, and leave it there with a sprinkler attached to water a certain area. It would pull back to a much shorter length. I had read the reviews, but bought the 50-foot hose anyway, as I thought it would stay stretched if I stood there and held it. It still falls a bit short for my needs. It is such a good quality product that instead of returning it, I bought a second hose to get the length I want and I am still quite happy with it. If you need 50 feet, I'd say buy two of these. If you want, say, 100 feet of length AND the ability to extend, place a sprinkler, and walk away, I'd suggest 3 100-foot hoses, or start with 2, and keep in mind you may end up needing 3. The hose was probably a true 50 feet before they did whatever they do to create the coils. Some of that length is then lost to the coils. I have read quite a few reviews of various coil-type hoses, made by different companies, and this seems to be the case with all of them. This is the trade-off for the no-kink feature. I cannot address the water pressure issue as I use the hose only to water plants. The pressure is more than sufficient. It seems "normal" (same as my old, cheap, crappy hose) to me. It really is a good, sturdy, well-made hose. If the length issue is taken into account, I think anyone should be happy with this hose. All things considered, I still give it 4 stars.

If you need a coil hose, spend the extra money on this one
7/15/14 Update: It has been 3 years of regular use with this hose. It has been outside since purchased, which means a temperature range of 15* - 112*. It has battled sun, snow, sleet, rain, stretching, relocating, etc. The hose still coils about 95% as well as it did on Day 1. It has only lost a little "elasticity" or "memory." The only item that has shown wear is the black plastic coil near the spigot connection. This is meant to prevent kinking when fully extended. This snapped-fairly early on. This wasn't really a big deal to me, though. So, with 3 years of use, I would confidently still give this a rating of 5-stars. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I am a very firm believer in buying it right the first time. I did my research on coil hoses for the backyard garden after my previous one kinked and had hundreds of tiny punctures in it over just one year which made it spray mist everywhere. It seemed like this model had the best reviews, but was also the most expensive. You get what you pay for. The connection to your spigot is excellent. The whole feel of the hose is high-quality. The metal spring coil near the female end eliminates any kinking and the stainless steel connectors on either end sing "durability". The hose is a fairly thick gauge with decent weight and a glossy finish. I also love the plethora of earth tones available to choose from. It will almost disappear when not used depending on your landscape. The biggest test was the ability to recoil. Even after stretching it to it's max, and on a 100* day no less, the hose recoiled to its original fashion. I have been using this daily for almost a month without a single complaint.

My new favorite ‘easy peasy’ garden hose
Excellent lightweight, kink free hose! No leaking and I love the springy coil design that easily retracts when you’re done using. This is just long enough to reach all my plantings in a smaller back yard. Really enjoy the rich evergreen color of this too. Been using for about 6 months and am very happy with the quality and ease of use!

Quoted length is deceiving
My back yard is approximately 45 feet long. Our only spigot is at the far end. So any hose must reach the entire 45 feet to reach the other end of the lawn. I say to myself "Perfect - 50 feet - that's 45 feet - plus 5 feet to spare". Unfortunately, what they don't tell you about these coil style hoses is that the farther you stretch them the more they pull back. This one will stretch to 35 feet if I use all of my strength to pull at it. Keep in mind that you must keep up this level of tension, otherwise the hose will snap out of your hand and try to recoil. The hose itself is well made with brass fittings and does not leak. I'm sure if you were to completely stretch this hose out until all the coils were gone it would measure exactly 50 feet. However in the real world you wouldn't want to stretch it more than 25 feet. I will probably re-purpose this hose in another part of the yard were it doesn't need to go beyond 25 feet. I would recommend to any one buying this type of hose to purchase one that has twice the length you need it to go.

Well-Made, Durable, Easy to Use and Store - Wonderful!
I began using this hose in Spring 2014. It's well constructed and has suffered no failures. I bought it as a secondary hose for my front yard, for watering the pots on my stoop and plants close to the hose, so I don't have to pull out the long heavy hose from the hose cart on the side of the house, nor have a short regular hose left awkwardly lying about the garden edges. It works great for this purpose. It is easily stored when not in use, due to the coil effect - just set it in a pile and done. There is a slight learning curve in getting used to the coils, and they have gotten a little twist in them on occasion, but that is easy to shake out. To use the hose with a sprinkler, the coils tend to pull the sprinkler out of the alignment from where I want it, so I just put a dutch-paver brick on a nearby coil, to hold the hose and sprinkler in place. Problem solved. The Espresso color is unobtrusive, so it doesn't distract nor detract from the garden beds. NOTE: As others mention, the coils keep the hose from extending it's full length, so you'll want to buy longer than what you need. I might have gotten by with a 25' regular hose, but bought the 50' coil to ensure it could reach as far as I needed it to. Also, the hose diameter is 3/8" so provides lower water pressure than a 1/2" or 5/8" diameter hose. While this is fine for my purposes of watering plants, it might not be as effective for other uses where more pressure is desired. What I Like: * light-weight and easy to use * doesn't kink - may get a twist but that easily shakes out * well-made, no failures in parts, durable * easy to store * espresso color is unobtrusive Worth Noting: * the coils keep the hose from extending it's full length, get the next size up from what you think you need * hose diameter is 3/8" so will have provide lower water pressure than a 1/2" or 5/8" diameter hose - this may effect how you use the hose * you may need something to hold the hose in place when using with a sprinkler, and the coils tend to retract and pull the sprinkler out of alignment (a brick paver works for me) * my neighbor bought one of those "expandable" hoses at the same time I bought this - her hose burst after one season of use (common problem with those hoses), while mine is still in perfect condition.

Great hose but you’ll need adaptors to use in NZ/AU
Very difficult to find 3/4 GHT to 3/4 BSP fittings. Best bet is to get quick release GHT fittings instead.

Great hose, love it! Finally a garden hose that looks great and works great.
Tired of ugly garden hoses ruining your aesthetic? Why spend all that time on your plants and flowers, and have to drag around the ugly green hose from 1950? Well, I read the reviews, and I love this hose. No, you won't likely be using it to wash your car, unless your car is really close to your faucet. It stretches, but not nearly as much as a regular hose in terms of the length listed. But, I don't care because I am watering pots on my steps. Plop this puppy into a nice garden pot for storage, or leave out, it is attractive, well made, and made watering more enjoyable. All because, I no longer have to look at the hideous green leaking, hard to wrap up, traditional garden monster hose! Whoever designed this, thank you from saving me from the ugliness of the traditional hose. Spent all summer using it, big thumbs up!

Quality Fittings & hose
I use this hose to water my front lawn. A 30' hose is long enough, so this 50' coil hose works out great, without needing to stretch it too far. I like it because it's not as heavy as a regular 50' hose, and it takes up less room by the front door. The fittings are a good quality chromed brass fitting that feel like they could last a lifetime.

Great quality and convenience.
I had one of those expandable hoses which was lighter but it only lasted a season even though I kept it safe during the winters. Instead of going through the trouble again I decided to invest into something a bit more robust. It was well worth the money. This has the toughness of a traditional hose and the convenience of those expandable ones - brilliant. Note: choose your length wisely as stated in the description.
