New Star Foodservice 58871 Slimline Pattern, 18/0 Stainless Steel, 60-Piece Flatware Set

I am so impressed with the quality of this flatware. The weight and feel are excellent. The big plus for me was you can get matching ice tea spoons and bullion/ soup spoons. I couldn’t get the extra pieces on the more expensive Mikasa or Oneida. Price was comparable but the quality surpasses both brands.

The simple design is what I like most.

I love this pattern and these pieces. They are solid, great weight, and so many pieces to customize your own set. The espresso spoons and appetizer forks have become a new favorite.

I purchased this stainless flatware (60 piece set 5 per place setting x 8 place settings.) I took several pieces out of the well packaged box to check for quality and weight and was very impressed. The shell is deeply marked/impressed into the metal and the weight of the fors, knife and teaspoon are good and solid. I'm using 4 place settings for 'everyday' and reserved 8 place setting still in box for family groupings and holiday meals. There are serving pieces and I'm very pleased with this set and would order again or recommend to a friend. We live a very casual lifestyle and do not use (even though we have) sterling I was very unimpressed by the flatware I purchased a few years ago because it's weight was flimsy and the impressions were 'barely there'. I am please to say this isn't the case with this set. For the price, if you like the shell design, this is an ideal 'everyday' set of flatware.

I read a lot of reviews on the flatwear sold at Amazon before deciding to try these. I was looking for something inexpensive to replace the set we have (where pieces are missing or they fell into the garbage disposal and have jagged edges, etc.). This is a set of 12, which hopefully will last us many years! The weight is good - they are not cheap and "bendy" as some other sets were described. These ARE very basic looking, but that's fine with me - for everyday flatwear I didn't care how fancy they looked. I was looking for a set where the handle has a curve - no pointy edges that dig into your hands. These feel good in your hands.

I bought this to replace my set that had several pieces missing, to me they are very well made stainless steel and they are dishwasher safe the only thing I don't like is they don't fit into my silverware holder in the dishwasher because the ends are to wide. They have a nice weight to them and a very simple but nice design it is a service of 12 for a really good price, and are not flimsy

These are junk. They are not stainless steel. They rusted after one wash. Sending back.

i've used their original silverware of this pattern for years and love it; i wanted to add... but these are skinny, smaller and lighter ... cheaper, in other words !!!
