Pretty sure the camera was used, still a good deal
The camera seems to have been an open box or like new refurb, because the two pieces that should have been on it, the cardboard tag in one of the lanyard holes and the sticker on the top near, maybe on, the flash if it was brand new were missing. Would be nice if they mentioned that in the product description. All the accessories were okay, not the best but I got this bundle for less than the price of just outright buying the camera.

VERSATILITY SUPREME
I think this is a great camera for anyone and I am a retired professional photographer saying this. If I wouldn't have looked unprofessional I would love to have had this for some of my pro work. Those things said I gave this an overall rating because I only found one video on how to setup & use this camera on YouTube. I never found one on the Panasonic site (that would have been nice if they did one). This camera does take some learning & experience using & reusing.Do, do get the extra kit package with the batteries & charger; it will be very useful as I found out (glad I had the spare batteries); next a spare memory card or two.

Extreme zoom range and portability in a full featured camera
The ZS200 is replacing my ZS50 which has less resolution (20mp vs. 12mp). The ZS200 body is thicker and heavier than the ZS50. The lens housing and ring are also bigger and protrude further from the camera than the ZS50. Overall the ZS200 is compact, but less so than the ZS50. The ZS200 has a physically larger battery (7.5v vs 3.6v; 1225 mAh vs 1250 mAh ; 7.4 Wh vs. 4.5 Wh). How that translates into record time or pictures I don't know - it's in the specs. The manual says that the camera can be esternally powered, but I could not find a source for the official Panasonic adapter and power source. Although I don't use RAW format the ZS200 manual says it is possible, whereas the ZS50 was limited to JPEG. I can't speak to video specs, since I don't shoot video.

Great features in a compact camera.
Small enough to carry with you everywhere. Range from wide angle to telephoto with a 15X spread (24mm - 360mm). The extra telephoto over ZS100 is worth the extra $100. Quick user manual is reasonably complete. This is important as complete user manual (Advanced) is over 300 pages.

Quality product, not a great zoom
Panasonic makes very good cameras. We returned this one because were very disappointed that, for the price, this didn't have much of a zoom.

Ask about the premium bundle
The premium bundle with the camera included a focus ring for the zoom that was too bid for this camera and an additional hand grip that was missing the clasp to secure the second end of the strap to the base. The camera bag may be bigger than needed, but the other items were all helpful and the overall price was good in spite of the two issues above.

Seems to be a very good camera....
I’ve only had the camera for a week or so and haven’t thoroughly tested it. But so far I really like it. The pic download to iPad was a bit tricky but once I figured it out is easy. I take lots of pics while bike riding, and it has worked well so far. Think I will enjoy my new Lumix.

I love this camera; but it tends to be VERY sensitive to both water and dust
Before this one, Christine used a ZS100. This one has a few better technical features than the ZS100 had (a slightly better zoom lens, etc).Great camera; but don't drop it into water or stand in any rainstorm. Also, keep it impeccably clean of dust.
