Does its ob
Whoever wrote that it’s not the same as the real stretchers for canvas was unreasonable-of course it’s not-that’s thats why it does not $100+. The kit does its ob, super easy to assemble. If you have a very important or expensive canvas, get it stretched professionally. Otherwise, this will work for simple projects.

Meh. It is what it is.
I managed to make this work for what I was using it for, which was stretching handwoven fabric over a frame so that I can eventually frame them like artwork. HOWEVER these are NOT real stretcher bars for serious painting canvases. They split and splinter very easily so you can't put a whole lot of pressure on them. And the other reviews are correct, there are NO instructions whatsoever. BUT the steps are on the amazon product page. So yeah, these might work for some DIY projects, but you need a real stretcher kit to make art canvases for painting. I actually did like the hanging hardware that came with them.

No instructions included
The product looks like a good quality, but there are no instructions. There’s no way of knowing how to put it together. For the amount of money I spent, they should’ve added a small piece of paper indicating on how to put together the frame properly. In my opinion, when you order something it should show you how to assemble it. Not everyone can figure things out easily.

Easy peasy
Love this. So easy to assemble. I was skeptical at first lol. I did three with no problem. I did have to use a staple gun though.

Cheap, doesn't actually work.
I guess its a good idea, but functionally it does not work. The idea is to stick the wood to the canvas, then flip it together and stretch the canvas to make it look nice. The glue is not strong enough, though, so after all that effort the glue comes undone and it looks very blah. It's cheap, the materials are liable to break while assembling and the product just doesn't work.
