Not very believable. Blackout drinking, the characters wake up in the hotel room and don't recall anything that happened and cannot remember their names yet manage to get dressed and ask for more alcohol.The first few chapters left me scratching my head, and not in a way that I was curious to find out what happens next. I was only able to get through a few chapters but with mixed emotions. Sadly, will be deleting from my kindle unfinished.

As I was reading this book, I kept thinking it read like a madcap, screwball comedy from the 1930s or 1940s but with glow-in-the-dark condoms and a parrot kidnapping. And a hero who is "Mr. Grumpy Cat transformed into a human being." God, it's so damn funny and sexy.Julia's in Vegas for a romance writer's convention. Nate's in Vegas because his best friend is getting married. They get drunk and hook up--but can't remember what happened. So the rest of the book is spent unraveling their wild Vegas night.I loved it.Julia is a supernerd with verbal diarrhea, and because she's a romance writer (and Whovian) lives mostly in her imagination. Her inner monologues were so funny that as I was reading this late at night, I woke up my house from laughing out loud. She gets sidetracked and digresses and those observations and comments are everything.She also likes the hunky jerkwad she woke up next to.Nate's a divorce lawyer who comes to realize that he likes the supernerd girl even if he doesn't get her Padawan jokes. He's cynical and aloof, but we come to realize that those are defense mechanisms from being hurt badly.This is the kind of book that needs to be read out loud and acted out, although if that happened, your sides would be splitting from laughing so much. But it's got heart and OMG sexy times.I'd recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh and who loves sexy romance. It's all in here amidst the wackiness of Vegas.5 I want to read it again stars.

This book is has a humorous heroines that is easily relatable with her wit and sassiness. Julia is by far my favorite Lila Monroe heroine thus far. Nate is your typical tall, dark, and handsome hero but you can sense there is something more about him that makes him keep people at arm's length. The more you get to know Nate, the more you fall for him even when he's been in stick in the mud. He's the guy that will always look after those closest to him, have your back when you need him most.And hot mama, Lila deliver in the sexy times so much so it caused my reader to overheat. I, myself, needed a very cold shower by the time I finished this book. The heat and sexual tension is off the charts, and I loved every minute of it.Get Lucky is a sensational story that will have you laughing out loud one minute and swooning the next. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to escape reality for a little fun in Sin City. And if you've never read a Lila Monroe book, then I suggest you run and pick this book up too see what you've been missing.

Be prepared for some funny escapades.Divorce Lawyer, Nate, was a bit of a jerk at first but he came around. Romance Author, Julia, is unapologetic about who she is. Two people more opposite on the surface you’d not find. But some pre-wedding partying, some pole dancing, and possible illegal activities can bind people unexpectedly, and Julia’s phone had some pictures to prove it.Fun cast, hot chemistry between the leads, some cringe-worthy stuff going on with some of the supporting cast. Dialogue is pretty good, the interaction was entertaining. The story was enjoyable and well written, the plot flowed smoothly. A minor hiccup complicated things but was quickly resolved. Predictability was low. The conclusion is satisfying, providing a decent HFN ending that I hope may play out in the background of the next book in the series.Overall, I was entertained by this story. I must have lost my sense of humour because I didn't find it funny just tedious but at least it was free.A recently separated divorce lawyer meets a recently divorced romantic novelist in Las Vegas. Uptight meets quirky and it is instant dislike.The next morning they are in bed together and can't remember how they got there. Over the course of the story we get flash backs.The sex is graphic and not erotic.

I received an arc in exchange for a honest review.*Firstly I would like to thank Lila as I've had a pretty shit 24 hours and this book gave me a little escape and I lot of laughs when I didn't feel like laughing*I loved this book so much and is one of my new favourite lila monroe books.The storyline was fantastic and I especially enjoyed the dynamic between Nate and Julia.The chemistry those two had was white hot sizzling alpha meets dreamy.Even a blind person could sense their chemistry.Nate is the arrogant divorce lawyer who has been recently burnt by his ex so chooses to not believe in love anymore.Julia is the highly acclaimed romance author with no need for a knight in shining armour as she can kick ass herself.The two of them meeting equals an excellent exciting 48 hours in Vegas which will have you turning your kindle pages and loving every minute of it.This book will have you feeling a lot of different emotions and I promise you plenty of laugh out loud moments too.You really need to one click this beauty and spend a few hours with Nate and Julia

I don't often stray from crime fiction but I fancied a change and this book was it. I wasn't expecting great things as often romance can be over sentimental and can have some really clunky moments. This was not the case with this book. The characters were pretty 3 dimensional and the situation did not completely stretch the bounds of reality (it was a close call) - but instead of irritating me it was amusing and made me part of the crazy adventures. Very well written, even the bedroom scenes (or other more adventurous locations). I would definitely recommend reading this book.

A typical got married in Vegas while drunk romance.Julia is a romance writer, attending the Romance Style Book convention in Vegas, a self-confessed Doctor Who nerd who talks to various incarnations of the Doctor at times of crisis she is just recovering from a messy divorce.Nate is a cynical divorce lawyer in Vegas for his best friend's wedding, he dislikes everything about Julia but finds her strangely attractive.When Nate and Julia wake up in bed together after the hen/stag night, what happened?As it's Vegas there are the Bellagio fountains, strip clubs, the desert, and Elvis.This was an okay read but nothing out of the ordinary.

This book was so good. Quirky and funny.What I really loved about this story was the main character being a romance writer it meant that a lot of cliche romance moments were made funny.It was an interesting concept to start he story the morning after the night before and stringing the story together from the end.It was an enjoyable read. The sex scenes were really raunchy and good.
