so helpful !!!!
I simply love the Optiwand...being new to soft contact lenses it was so difficult to pull my eye lids, top and bottom and stick that lense in ..but with the optiwand, It goes right in the first time...still have to lift the eyelids gently, but it is so quick !!! I showed my optometrist who was impressed and had never heard of if.....removing the lenses takes a little practice as you need to place the wand over the lense in the eye, and squeeze a little to take it out...BUT it is the best things ....I put the lenses in, in less that 10 seconds !!!! I highly recommend it....simply rinse the wand in the eye solution the lenses were in, shake it dry and you are good to go...I bought Optiwand for my grandson who no longer has to spent so much time, being frustrated, putting his lenses in before school....thank you for such a great and helpful product

I’ve struggled taking my contacts out for months. I’ve had to have my son help. I had a girlfriend tell me about Optiwand so I thought what do I have to lose. Best purchase ever! First try and I was able to remove my contacts without help. Well worth the small investment if you struggle getting your contacts out.

Once I figured out how to use it. It works great. A whole lot better than my fat fingers.

Was worse than fingers. But I found the answer!
At the eye clinic, I decided to try contact lenses for the first time ever. I BARELY was able to get the contacts in after a half hour with the help of a patient technician. That night during the hour that it took me to get the contact lenses out of my eyes, I desperately envisioned going to the eye doctor just to remove them. I considered a couple of Qtips as "tweezers" and even a nerf dart. I decided not to put them back in until I ordered the Optiwand. When the arrived, I immediately felt the Optiwand was worse than fingers since the rubber-like material is not soft enough for the sensitive inside surface of the eyelids and it is irritating with the slightest touch.I couldn't imagine how the contact lens industry depends on people being able to put their fingers on their eyes and "pinching" the contacts off! But then after much turmoil, I eventually realized something. The panic that I was experiencing while attempting to insert and remove the contacts, needed to be resolved first rather than trying to simultaneously manage panic and remove the lenses.TRY THIS!!Inserting:Put a lens backwards on the tip of your finger like a jewish cap, while spreading your eye open as previously trained, lightly touch your eye with the capped finger with NO intention to remove or insert the contact (especially since this "cap" position is backwards). Lightly touch your eye repeatedly and put a tiny bit of pressure each time. This process makes you realize how harmless and tolerable it really is. Do it slowly and repeatedly and think about what's happening. Your finger is not even touching your eye but instead, it's just the smooth soft surface of the lens. Now, put a few drops of solution on the lens, turn it around in the right position and slowly put it in your eye while realizing the comfort you became acclimated to.Removal:Put your thumb and forefinger together and slowly rest the tips of your forefinger and thumb on the lens in your eye with no intention to remove the lens. Just slowly become comfortable doing this repeatedly while applying a very slight pressure on the lens in your eye each time. Again, you can quickly become comfortable just realizing how painless and safe this is without the distraction of simultaneously trying to remove the contact. When you become comfortable with this, it is MUCH easier to then slowly rotate your forefinger and thumb in a gentle pinch motion while applying a slight pressure.GOOD LUCK

Easy to use and works perfectly
I almost gave up on wearing contacts...it literally took me 20 minutes to get them in and most times I just quit and put my glasses on....first time I used the optiwand I got my contact in within seconds....let me say it again...first time in seconds...I couldn't believe it myself....followed the instructions and voila...they were in....I dont write many reviews but if ur like me and cant put contacts in the traditional way.....this is your tool.

Removing Contacts will be Difficult if not Impossible
Didn’t receive it until a week after they claim to have delivered it. I didn’t try it to insert contacts as I don’t have that problem. My finger nails are a bit long so needed it to remove contacts. Never could get it to work and made my eye sore trying. Junk in my opinion
