Nice padding on the top surface that touches the dash, but not the bottom that touches plastic. Phone vibrates a lot. Attaches to the vent securely enough, but there's some interference that doesn't allow it to mount all the way to the left where I wanted it to. Barely thick enough and needs some fiddling to fit my iPhone XR. It's certainly no pro-clip which I've used in the past, but for the money, it's alright. I'm on the fence as to whether I'll keep using it.

I bought the 1st gen of this product because I was looking for a phone holder on my Model 3. There is no where to attach on the Model 3 besides the vent , so this product is genius. However the 1st gen was too shaky, and I am glad they came out the 2nd gen. It was great. I actually replaced the holder with a wireless charging holder , so now I can charge my phone at the same time. Highly recommend.

The concept is great but need some work. My iPhone Max kept making it rattle out due to the size of the phone and the vibration of the road. Prolly works best with smaller phones. Also when driving and nothing is in it, it rattles and can be slightly annoying.

I was disappointed that the makers of this holder did not mention that if you have a battery back-up on your phone, that this holder would not work. There is not enough depth to hold on the complete phone with the battery pack around the phone. This wasted my time and shipping. I would hope that all manufacturers give that warning in their holders.

This product is cheap and does not do the job. It did not hold the phone securely and was very shaky. Then when I returned it, the company never credited my account thru Amazon. So , I was charged for the item even though I returned it as instructed. Do not waste your time(and money) on this piece of junk. I purchased the WeatherTec and it is 5-star.
