The reel is great but it won't hold the amount of line promised ...
The reel is great but it won't hold the amount of line promised in the specs. Based on the spec I should have been able to put 500 yards of 30lb Power pro but the reel was filled up to the edges of the spool (over filled actually) and I still had 125 yards left on the Power Pro spool.

This reel looks great but is unreliable
Do not buy this product. I have waited 9 months to post this review. This reel looks great but is unreliable. I returned the product for repair after using it about 4 times. I was sent a new reel but didnt use it for a while because I purchased a Penn Battle II while my reel was being repaired. Last week I decided to start using the new reel for the first time. It broke down while I was surf fishing. I thought Okuma was a good reel company but this reel is terrible.

I've had it for about 6 months now and can't say a bad thing about it
I live on the beach and use this reel regularly. I've had it for about 6 months now and can't say a bad thing about it, especially for the price. I took home a big mutton snapper today on this reel after it sang to me a few times on some great power runs! Very happy with my purchase. Edit: The cover for the spring on the bail arm went missing a week ago. It's not screwed on, so I don't know how they expected it to stay on being a surf reel. I'm on a remote island, so I used the reel anyway. Today the spring and assembly blew apart. Now the reel is useless. I opened a support ticked with Okuma on their web site a week ago about the missing cover. I have yet to hear back.
