29 Myths on the Swinster Pharmacy

Wanted a little more of the Lemony Snicket 'feel'. It left me hungry for the old days....

Arrived several days earlier than expected, in a package shape I had never yet seen from Amazon and have not seen since. I did not realize i had ordered the copy with the map until I got it. Immediately after receiving the book, I found myself locked out of my dorm room with no coat on a very windy day. All in all, the perfect Snicket experience. 5 Stars.

It is interesting but hard for my 3 year old son to understand.

Snicket makes our world a better place, I think. A Haruki Murakami for the younger set.

Illustrations are great. Story is beyond bizarre. My kids didn't get it. I don't get it. Super disappointed with this book and would return it if I could. Maybe someone can explain to me the redeeming qualities of this writing? Baffled.

If you're thinking of purchasing this, you should be aware that the book is not really presenting a narrative story. It's a set of observations about the Swinster Pharmacy that are meant to raise suspicions. Part of the fun of the book is in making inferences from the observations and coming to realize that the pharmacy is a mystery, without having that mystery resolved. There's a map included that adds to the fun.It's not for everyone, but it offers something unique and fun.

This is a great mystery picture book for ages 4 to 104, with swinfully fun illustrations. We love this Lemony collectible.
