I ordered 3 license plate cameras all from $15-25 to compare. This was the least expensive. I am happy to report the quality compared to the other two was right inline. All of them were within a 5% margin of error. Not excellent quality but fine considering it will be displayed on a low-resolution head unit over a long RCA cable. I like that it mounts behind the license plate. Ultimately I will be returning it because I have a 4th gen 4runner and the camera sticks out too far and obstructs the ability to get the rear gate latch. There are more slim option that work better but overall this was still a great contender and the least expensive, so it's worth 4 stars.

Great little camera for the price. Wide angle and picture looks good. The main selling point for me was being able to put the bracket behind the license plate to look more OEM. I also like the tiny connector coming from the camera for easier routing into the trunk. I’d suggest purchasing a small rubber grommet if you have to drill through your trunk to run the cable. We’ll see how long it lasts, but at this price point I’d probably just buy another one.

I bought this camera to help me back up with my trailer because my back door doesnt open on my jeep. The instructions were really simple and easy to follow however i couldn't wire into my reverse lights because of the fact that my liftgate doesnt open so i couldnt access the wires to my reverse light. So i had to wire it into a switch and it was very easy to do and i love being able to now flip on the camera view whenever I want. The picture is great and i love the way only the camera shows in the top middle over my license plate bracket.

Installation took a bid of doing, but system has been working ok for a couple of weeks. One issue: the glue holding the plate magneticly holding the screen to the windshied mount gave way, dropping the screen, thankfully with no damage. W.e've hopefully solved the problem with some good taping. The instructions that came were pretty sparce, especially with regard to activating and using the menue.

I finished the install of the new S3 wired back up camera with the 5 inch tet lcd monitor. Installation was simple, quick. The picture is absolutely perfect with a super wide field of view. Customer service is great. Had a small issue and it was resolved quickly and courteously.

The picture quality is very good. Installation was pretty straight forward if your good with that sort of thing. I didn’t get a chance to try the camera at night yet (just installed it), but daytime looks good.

Great low light capability. LED’s are really more for decoration than anything. With ability of this camera, the lights are pointless. Definition and color are as good as my backup camera which cost seven times more. I would definitely recommend this camera.
