We love these dishes! I originally ordered them for offshore sailing, as they can safely be pitched overboard after use. But we like them so much that we use them at home now, too. With a quick rinse I can toss them in the compost pile or if I don't even want to work that hard I can toss them without too much guilt. The bowls are suitable for soup or ice cream or other wet foods as long as you don't leave it sitting all day! I'll never go back to paper or plastic disposables.

These bowls were ok but in no way would I trust them with soup like it is shown in the picture. Many of the bowls came with cracks which would cause a leak if anything liquid was in it. Luckily we just used them for baked goods so it worked out well but be warned, do not expect to be able to use these for liquid!

Very small and only one use

We LOVE these things. This time we were on a week long camp-out with a group of 17 so instead of just using them as single-use bowls, we used them as bowl holders and put cheap paper bowls in them. They added both stability and insulation for hot soups, oatmeal, etc. They were wonderful and at the end of the week we threw the dirty ones away, guilt free! Good seller. The bowls were delivered on time and were as described. AWESOME product!

These palm leaf bowls really were a hit at dinner party where we were highlighting several different soups. I was a little leary of their capability for holding hot liquid, but performed in a way I never expected. They were also a great topic of conversation. They are light weight and have a nice rustic look. I will definitely use them again.

I used these bowls for soup and they worked wonderful. Great for a party and to have something different than paper plates :)
