Super-Dooper
Music is the best and Frank's music is better than most anyone else's. Bought this to look at the dots and not disappointed. Check out the One Size Fits All book too. Super-dooper.

Great insight into Zappa's music.
Transcription of piano into of 'Little House I Used to Live In' ... lovely, and not too difficult

Good, but not the best selection of pieces
Not bad, but not the best selection of pieces. This book includes sheet music of some 20 Zappa compositions. The best examples are Oh No, Uncle Meat, Wait Until the Water Turns Black, The Little House I Used to Live In - but sadly only the introduction, and excerpts from Music for a Low Budget Orchestra - again not the complete piece. Not a bad addition to the limited number of Zappa music books, but a bit pricey for the small number of pieces, some of which - as stated - are incomplete. The book is also peppered with a few pointless illustrations and photos to pad it out while the cover features an illustration by Cal Schenkel. Could be better and the title begs the question as to if there will ever be a Volume 2?

Kult
Can I Help You with This Dummy". Absolut empfehlenswert!

Very excited to find this! Great packing job for this vintage item!
Product was wrapped extremely well. Little wear due to aging but this book is in phenomenal condition other than that. Such a great find and at a great price! I especially loved the personal note within encouraging me to share my good experience with the seller! They have a great shop! I recommend purchasing any books with piece of mind knowing it will hold up in whatever weather conditions! It was wrapped in plastic wrap airtight with a layer of protective cardboard over that to prevent dings. Such care. Thank you Honest Discount! I feel like I got a great discount on this rare item!

This book enables the Novice to read the music and understand how his music is constructed.
What a great reissue !!This book got so totally expensive that its a great relief to buy it at Amazon for less then 100.00 to 300.00 These sellers should be called "Book Scalpers" The Music is comprised of the most Salient pieces from Zappa's Early era, namely the albums Freak Out,Absolutely Free,We're only in it for money. Because Ian Underwood knows how to arrange pieces, he created Playable Versions of these pieces that most Intermediate students can play. Zappa's early work was filled with Heartfelt Hope in changing the world(for the better) It is apparent in the strong melodies and chordal structures. This book enables the Novice to read the music and understand how his music is constructed. If you play a little bit you will surely enjoy how well the melodies and poetry are assembled,True Genius!!! Maybe you can take Music Lessons and go deeper to learn music to it's fullest extent. Wherever you are Musically you will truly Love this reissue. PS Thank Ian Underwood for being the only person to be Left Brain enough to put this down for us,Thank You,Yes we noticed!!!

While those are cool, I just wanted to learn the pieces and ...
Not as much material as I'd hoped for the price but what is here is very well edited and printed. I would have preferred a straight ahead Zappa songbook with piano and guitar and not as many pictures, artwork and autograph scores. While those are cool, I just wanted to learn the pieces and would have liked just music. But, since this is one of only a handful of sheet music collections for Zappa then I suggest you get it if you want to learn and see how Zappa thinks.
