First Sonic
This toy is so much fun! I got it in the mail today and was so excited I didn't know what to do with myself!First - Removal - I have to say that the case has a nice display design and would look great unopened in any collection. However, mine did not last in the box long. Also, it's very easy to remove the Sonic without damaging the box (in case of desire to display later)all you have to do is take a small knife/tweezers/nail file and slide under the taped on lid and go around and lift off. The plastic the Sonic is secured in holds it well but is not hard to remove from as long as you mind the prongs on the emitter.Second - Batteries - I have heard horror stories about putting in/removing/replacing/ batteries and i was slightly worried. However, just follow the instructions and once again mind the prongs and you will be fine. You WILL need a small flat-head (works better than a screw-driver, figures LOL the kind that you use on your glasses should do fine!Third - Play - Prongs are a little loose (this is common with this toy so don't fret, treat it well and it will last). Fits well in my hand and has a light but still satisfying weight. The sound bites used are great and made me very happy! The extending action is probably the most satisfying of all!! As most the only problem I have with the whole toy is the sound/light button on the handle doesn't work when extended, however, the button hidden at the end of the Sonic Screwdriver's shaft is very convenient in certain other poses!!Over all I give it a 9.8/10!!!! If it breaks I will replace it!

A well built sonic, awesome product
I personally think this thing is awesome. I bought it about a week ago and I'm really enjoying it. The extending action is well done, and the product seems well built and sturdy. It has very accurate modelling, and it just makes you feel awesome holding it. I like the way it makes different sounds and flickers differently depending on the number of times you tap the button, which is a big improvement on the previous sonic screwdriver that had uncommon sounds put onto a loop. You get to choose which sound you want when you want it. The sound also has a good volume and the light on the end is pretty bright, although shaped just a bit strange looking. My only two complaints being that the prongs on the end are a bit loose, which I intend to simply fix myself, and that the main button on the side doesn't work when the sonic is extended. I don't know why it wouldn't be, but its not too big of a problem because when its open there is a small button above the other that you can press if your fingets are small enough. I certainly use it more often than the button the back. But all in all, I think this is a really great product, and I love to mess around with it. Just tell kids to be careful with it if you're giving it to them, its well built for the price, but doesn't looking like it can handle too much rouhging about.

A Life Saver
Hello all,Well I finally got my hands on the 11th Doctor's sonic screw driver and I have to say its a blast. The design is highly detailed with the head extending and the actuator arms expanding just like on the show, there is even a button on the bottom so you can sonic things when the arms are extended. The light given off by the part that sonics is a beautiful green that matches the show exactly It really feels like the actual one the Doctor uses. It gets a 5 out of 5 for looking like wheat it's meant to.As far as durability goes it feels pretty damn hefty in you hands and has a good weight to it. I will admit the force It opens with when you press the extender button almost feels like it would be enough to break the pins holding the arms in place, but so far so good. The buttons feel solid and not flimsy and they react well to each push. I have yet to drop it, but I think it would fare pretty well( you all can test that one yourselves on you own sonics). I give it a 4 out of 5 for durability. Finally the education value that is pretty high actually. You see I was goin about my apartment sonicing things here and there, sonic the coffee table, sonic the couch, sonic the cat all what you would expect, then I soniced my T.V. Well to my surprise it was made of Dalektanium, I would have thought the "Exterminator" brand would have been tough built, but I was not expecting that. I plan to sell it to my neighbor who plays music way to loud at night. Good luck with that pall. All in all if you are Whovian and you like the 11th Doctor you will get you money's worth out of this.

Really Great for a Whovian
Really Awesome Product and a Must Have for Doctor Who Fans. This was the cheapest functional Sonic Screwdriver ( Still doesn't work on wood though :P ) available on any Online Shopping Portal. The button on the handle doesn't work when the arm is extended. You can either hold the extended arm in a certain way such that the button is triggered or use the button(It is a Big Red Button) on the bottom end.On the cost: I paid around 2K for it, which according to some people might be a waste of money. But, the Heart(or Hearts) wants what it wants. So if you don't mind shelling out the money, this is a really great product.P.S. : The sounds vary according to the number of times you press the button. It normally alternates between 2 sounds. when you press the button thrice continuously its gives a different low sound, Four times : a Different Sound which I think is the Morse Code for SOS, Five times: A similar Sound to the Four times just a bit different.
